The Georgian Bantamweight, Merab Dvalishvili, showcased his true class as he got the better of his UFC Vegas 71 opponent, Petr Yan, via a unanimous decision. During ‘The Machine’s’ post-fight interview, the noted former UFC champ-champ, Daniel Cormier pointed out that this win would set him up for a title shot against the UFC Bantamweight champion, Aljamin Sterling, who was also one of his teammates. But ‘The Georgian’ revealed that he would never fight his teammate-friend, Sterling, under any condition.

However, the UFC supremo, Dana White, didn’t seem too pleased with Dvalishvili’s decision. Appearing at the recently concluded Power Slap Finale’s post-event press conference, White gave out his take on ‘The Machine’s’ ‘friendship-over-fight’ decision.

He stated, That’s a personal decision that he needs to make. If that’s what he wants to do, I can tell you how that story ends. It’s not a good ending to that story. But, he’s a big boy. He can figure that out on his own”.

Many fans might take White’s words as a statutory warning to Dvalishvili.
