The noted UFC Welterweight, Kevin Holland, got into a scuffle with his fellow UFC Middleweight colleague, Joseph Holmes. The noted former UFC Welterweight Champion Robbie Lawler was one of the first who talked about the UFC’s unfair treatment of its fighters. Years later, his words were once more mentioned while his friend Ben Rothwell talked about Francis Ngannou‘s exit from the UFC in a recent viral video. The former UFC Flyweight Askar Askarov left the UFC in October 2022. But, he recently joined the Absolute Championship Akhmat promotion, which had a few fingers pointed at him.
Kevin Holland stomped Joseph Holmes
Joseph Holmes, the noted UFC Middleweight, complained that he was “jumped” by Kevin Holland while they crossed paths at XKO 60. Holmes talked about his already strained relationship with Holland. He also revealed that their first meeting at the XKO 60 was quite normal, with neither of them exchanging any words.

But, while Holmes and his girlfriend were about to leave, Holland barged their way and punched him in “the back of” his “fu**ing head”. The ‘Ugly Man’ also revealed, “I got jumped. They [Holland and co.] beat me up, they beat me down, they stomped on me while I was down”. The previous bad blood might be the reason for Holland‘s assault on Holmes.

Robbie Lawler’s words about UFC’s mistreatment go viral via his friend
UFC fans aren’t new to complaints about the UFC mistreating its fighters. Many fighters to date have also been vocal about how Dana White and Co. undervalues a lot of their fighters. One of the first to reveal this issue was noted Welterweight, Robbie Lawler. ‘Ruthless’ old friend and former UFC Heavyweight, Ben Rothwell appeared in an interview with ‘MMA Junkie’. He talked about the UFC Heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou‘s exit from the company.
He stood by Ngannou for his bold decision and stated that he knew how the UFC undervalued their fighters. Rothwell quoted the words of his friend ‘Ruthless’ Lawler, stating, “It wasn’t the pot of gold at the end or the rainbow that we all believed and dreamed that it was”. The video garnered numerous reactions from MMA fans as well.
What was the real reason behind Askar Askarov quitting the UFC?
The noted UFC Flyweight, Askar Askarov, called an abrupt stop to his UFC career last October. Despite being on an eight-fight unbeaten streak at one point, this sudden decision shocked a lot of MMA fans. Askarov had asked for his release from the UFC sighting health problems. But, recently it was revealed by multiple sources that the Russian fighter has signed into the ‘Absolute Championship Akhmat’.

A lot of fans might find Askarov‘s plan hard to believe. He recovered fully and got fit to compete by the end of January; despite asking for his UFC release due to health issues at the end of October. It’s pertinent to note that the UFC women’s Flyweight champion, Valentina Shevchenko, had also fought under the ACA (then ACB) prior to her jump to the UFC.
