The world of MMA packed a lot of noted incidents during the span of the last 24 hours as well. Today, we’ll begin by taking a look at what the current UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones had to say about his possible next opponent, Stipe Miocic. We’ll also know what the noted UFC icon, Conor McGregor stated about USADA. We’ll conclude things after gaining some knowledge about The UFC 286 main eventer, Kamaru Usman’s response to his rival Leon ‘Rocky’ Edwards.
Jon Jones bashed Stipe Miocic for trying to avoid their future bout

In his post-fight interview at UFC 285, the promotion’s Heavyweight king, Jon Jones made things clear about his next bout. He publically announced that he “wants” the former Heavyweight champion, Stipe Miocic, as his next opponent. It’s pertinent to note that Miocic had also been vocal previously about fighting the winner of the Jones vs Gane bout at UFC 285.
But recently, Jones probably received some intimation that his fight with Miocic wasn’t happening. The bout was scheduled for UFC 290 to take place during International Fight Week. ‘Bones’ took to Twitter and bashed Miocic for trying to avoid fighting him.
Yo @stipemiocic only you the UFC and I know the truth, you dodged me all of 2022 – July, September & December.

However, Miocic didn’t sit quietly after ‘Bones’s’ tweet. He too, took to his Twitter handle and mentioned ‘Bones’ with a reply reading, “See you in July”.

Further, ‘The Silencer’ also uploaded a hilarious video on his Twitter handle. The video might be directed toward Jones.

This possible matchup is one fight to look out for in the near future.
Conor McGregor uses harsh words for USADA
From the incidents of the last day, a lot of fans might know that the UFC icon, Conor McGregor was really cross with the USADA. Appearing at Ariel Helwani’s noted podcast, ‘The MMA Hour’, McGregor described how USADA had stated that he would be permitted to compete once again after “two” clean tests.

But contrary to McGregor’s expectations, USADA had released a statement about him.
They mentioned that McGregor would also have to stay enrolled in their testing pool for six months prior to being declared fit to compete once again.

Understandably, ‘Mystic Mac’ was furious about the USADA’s revelation regarding him, since he had some other information from them. McGregor also took to Twitter in order to diss the USADA with a series of tweets, which have now been deleted.
This decision from USADA has also created some unrest among the fans. It’s currently impossible to tell whether there will be further delay in the touted McGregor vs Chandler bout.
Kamaru Usman gave a reality check to Leon Edwards
The UFC 286 was gaining its expected hype with a verbally chaotic pre-event press conference. The UFC Welterweight king, Leon Edwards had also iterated some brash words for the former champ, Usman. Evidently, they didn’t sit well with him.

Edwards had reportedly vowed to “open the door” for Usman’s retirement after their UFC 286 bout. But, the former UFC’s no.1 pound-for-pound fighter, didn’t see any reason behind ‘Rocky’ getting so cocky prior to his bout.

He iterated that Edwards was probably forgetting how he had been dominated by Usman previously. The first four rounds of their rematch as dominated by Usman as well. He also talked about how he had dominated almost the entire Welterweight division with victories over the noted Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal.

Hence, a lot of fans might agree that Rocky’s task to open the door for Usman’s retirement might be harder than he thinks.
