After the enthralling UFC Kansas City, the fast-paced world of MMA has moved on to witness a lot of other noteworthy incidents as well. The last 24 hours also packed a few eye-catching incidents. Starting from the former UFC Lightweight champ, Charles Oliveira’s iteration about UFC 288 to the noted, Korean Zombie accepting a challenge, the fans had every reason to stay connected to the MMA world.

Charles Oliveira on backing out from the Beneil Dariush fight

A lot of UFC fans were heartbroken by the news of the former UFC Lightweight champ, Charles Oliveira, pulling out of his UFC 288 bout against Beneil Dariush. However, in one of his recent Instagram posts, he revealed that he had no other option left except pulling out of the bout.

‘MMA Fighting’ also reported this incident and translated Oliveira’s Instagram story, where he spoke in Portuguese. He stated, “I wasn’t able to train, I got injured during wrestling practice… tried to train, I tried to do everything I could but we couldn’t, so we pulled out of the fight.

Oliveira also stated, “I have to stay [away from training] for a few days”. Well, it was understood that Oliveira had enough reasons to pull out from the bout. But will the void of witnessing an Oliveira vs Dariush matchup ever be filled for the fans?

Dustin Poirier put down his condition to accept a Gilbert Burns fight

After retiring the noted UFC Welterweight, Jorge Masvidal, at UFC 287, Gilbert ‘Durinho’ Burns had supposedly begun his hunt for his next opponent. The Brazilian chose the former UFC Interim Lightweight kingpin, Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier as his next rival. Reports revealed that he had also started negotiating the fight. But ‘The Diamond’ came up with a condition to accept it.

Burns tweeted, “All do respect to @DustinPoirier I know you are a dog! May 6 I suppose to fight Belal for n1 contender! I just think me and you will be an amazing fight! Nothing but respect  #ufc288.”

However, Poirier replied, “Respect Gilbert  I can make 170 no problem, I’m not really in fight shape but (money) talks.

Jung Chan-Sung was ready to fight Max Holloway anytime he wanted

After a superb win against the touted UFC Featherweight, Arnold Allen, Max Holloway, made a humble callout for Jung ‘The Korean Zombie’ Chan-Sung. It was evident that Holloway wanted to continue the superb form that he had achieved.

A recent video from ‘The Korean Zombie’ may be termed as good news for ‘Blessed’. Lately, Chan-sung took to Instagram and posted a short video, heartily accepting Holloway’s challenge. In the video, he said, “Holloway, if you want to fight me? Anytime, Anywhere. Let’s go, brother”.
