Conor McGregor and Justin Gaethje agree to fight each other

After ‘The Highlight’s BMF title win at UFC 291, Conor McGregor tweeted, expressing his interest in fighting for the BMF title. However, Justin Gaethje turned that offer down and mentioned that he wanted to fight the best fighters. Meanwhile, ‘The Notorious’ tweeted that he’d KO Gaethje if they ever fought. This prompted the BMF champion to issue a challenge to the former double champion.

He said, “Sign the contract big boy.” In a swift response, Conor McGregor agreed to fight him. He tweeted back with just one word, “Signed.” It’s just a verbal agreement since we are yet to know when ‘The Notorious’ will be coming back to fight. However, it could prove to be an exciting contest between two of the biggest UFC stars in the world.

Kelvin Gastelum out of September bout against Shavkat Rakhmonov

A few weeks ago, UFC president Dana White announced that Kelvin Gastelum would make his welterweight comeback against the undefeated Shavkat Rakhmonov. The fight was scheduled to take place in September. However, that may not come to fruition. During a recent sparring session, Kelvin Gastelum suffered a nasty injury on his face.

Gastelum’s sparring partner accidentally hit him with an elbow strike which cut open his nose. It resulted in an open fracture, and also broke a few bones.

The 18-8 fighter shared a clip from his YouTube video on Twitter and apologized for having to pull out of the fight. Gastelum said, “I apologize to everybody that’s been excited for the fight… My apologies to Shavkat Rakhmonov and his team. I feel bad.”

Jamahal Hill goes off on Ariel Helwani

‘Sweet Dreams’ recently relinquished his light heavyweight title after suffering a torn Achilles. Former champion Jiri Prochazka was initially set to fight Jamahal Hill for the light heavyweight title. But in the wake of the injury news, the fight got canceled. Combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani recently hosted the Czech fighter on ‘The MMA Hour’ as they discussed ‘Sweet Dreams’ injury. During the interview, Helwani mentioned how Hill took shots at Prochazka when he suffered his shoulder injury, but in return, the Czech fighter took the “high road” and wished ‘Sweet Dreams’ a speedy recovery from his Achilles injury.

Jamahal Hill took offense to Helwani, claiming that he bad-mouthed Prochazka’s shoulder injury. In fact, he never had anything to say about the Czech fighter. Hill stated that Helwani uses underhanded tactics to get on the fighter’s good side. He stated, “Ariel, you did what you did, bro. I don’t f*** with you at all. You a snake… I think you are really a b*tch, bro.” It seems as if Jamahal Hill has no respect left for one of the most known combat sports journalists in the world.
