What’s that one match that makes absolute sense in the light-heavyweight division? It’s the clash between two former light-heavyweight champions, who have been trying to get the gold from the hands of Alex Pereira. The clash between Jamahal Hill and Jiri Prochakza has been booked to take place at UFC 311 as both the fighters have agreed to take on one another. The UFC CEO dropped this news, and as soon as it hit the MMA community, fans were insanely excited about the clash.

Jiri Prochakza took to his Instagram handle to add a comment on a specific post about the fight news, “It’s not just another fight, its a fight, its the joy of being alive to express yourself, let’s go get it. Thank you.” Responding to Prochazka’s statement, Hill commented, “See you in LA, January 18th class is back in session and it’s a scholarship that I have been waiting 4 years to give out. LFG.” 

Their fight is set to happen at UFC 311 on January 18th in Los Angeles and this clash might set the stage for the light-heavyweight division which is being ruled by Alex Pereira for now. He further added, “Make some adjustments, work on details, watch the fight again, and see where we failed. Can’t take anything away from Yan. That guy is very good. I knew I would have a very tough fight. I’m good, I fought a tough guy. He came out as a champion but I will be back better again.”  Humbleness after losing a fight is something many fighters lack nowadays but it was not the case for Figueiredo. Now let us move on to Dustin Poirier, who has hinted at his next clash.
