Chael Sonnen recently appeared in an interview where he shared his thoughts on how UFC 300 could shape up to be. He mentioned Conor McGregor and how the UFC would be making a mistake if they didn’t feature him on the card, since he is the biggest star the company has ever had. However, Sonnen believes that the plan for Dana White‘s promotion is to feature a title fight in the main event.

“To have Conor McGregor back and not use him when he’s your biggest star would be hard to bet on,” Chael Sonnen told ‘MMA Junkie‘. “However, I do think we will have a title fight in the main event and Conor McGregor does not have a title… I think that eliminates Conor.”

Mark Zuckerberg wants to see Zhang Weili vs. Alexa Grasso

2-time strawweight champion Zhang Weili recently proposed a fight for UFC 300. She approached flyweight champion Alexa Grasson for a title fight for the UFC’s triple-century event. The Mexican fighter seemed to have liked the idea of a fight against the ‘Magnum’ and asked her to make weight, which Weili accepted to do. Meanwhile, the proposal for this fight has created excitement for Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Mark Zuckerberg has been a big fan of MMA for a while now. His love for the sport led him to learn jiu-jitsu and even win his first competition. Moreover, Zuckerberg has been an advocate for Zhang Weili becoming a double champion in the past and as such, mentioned his excitement about the possibility of her fighting Alexa Grasso for the flyweight title. “I would love to see this fight,” commented Zuckerberg on Weili’s Instagram post. We will have to wait and see how Dana White perceives this UFC 300 proposal.
