‘The Notorious’ recently attended a boxing match at the IBA Night of Champions. There, he did an intense stare-down against former UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan, which was all fun and banter. Moreover, McGregor’s former rival, Khabib Nurmagomedov’s protégé, Islam Makhachev, was also in attendance at the event. However, the former double champion steered clear of the 155lbs champion at the event. This led Michael Chandler to take aim at the Irishman.

Michael Chandler is slated to fight Conor McGregor when the Irishman makes his comeback. But it is not certain if that fight will take place. Nevertheless, ‘Iron’ took a jibe at McGregor after what transpired during the recent boxing event. “Looking for a 135er or preferably a 125er to face off with, on camera, at an obscure event…any takers? I need relevancy…,” said Michael Chandler.

Since Conor McGregor has been out of action for a long time, ‘Iron’ believes that he is looking for a way to stay relevant. The Irishman has been seen facing off and calling out many fighters. This could be one reason why Chandler could be worried about the prospect of his fight against McGregor taking place.

Dana White faces criticism after Chris Gutierrez got abused by a heckler

It was not the best night for Chris Gutierrez as he lost to Song Yadong in the main event of UFC Vegas 83. Meanwhile, during the fight, one of the fans, who came to witness the Fight Night event, constantly kept heckling at the 15th-ranked bantamweight. It led Gutierrez to respond to heckler as he said, “F**k you whoever said that.” This led many fans to question Dana White for letting people like such hecklers be a part of the event.

Some people were left with a bad taste in their mouths regarding UFC events in Apex after the heckling incident with Chris Gutierrez. They urged Dana White to take all the necessary steps to make the Apex a safer place for fights and to maintain the prestige of such Fight Night events in the future.
