Decades ago, Chris Eubank Sr. and Nigel Benn shared an intense rivalry. The pair fought twice – in 1990 and 1993 – and still share the bad blood. Now, their sons, Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn, are set to face off in a highly anticipated clash. The fight between Eubank Jr. and Benn will be taking place in London in April. The chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority Turki Alalshik confirmed the clash on Wednesday, thus marking the beginning of an epic rivalry.

ESPN reported on Monday that the highly anticipated showdown is nearing finalization and is set to take place on April 26. The bout will be contested at the middleweight limit of 160 pounds. Well, along with the combat sports community, Conor McGregor appears to be excited about the clash as the former UFC champ took to his social media handle to share a photo of both generations’ stars facing off, captioned as, “INCREDIBLE”

Umar Nurmagomedov takes a dig at Merab Dvalishvili’s Georgian connection

How did the Umar NurmagomedovMerab Dvalishvili rivalry start? Well, it’s when the bantamweight champion emphasized that the Dagestani camp is actually not Russian. This response by the Gerogian got the ire of the entire camp which later transcended into a match at UFC 311. Fast forward to today, Umar Nurmagomedov has finally hit back at the Georgian by giving him the taste of his own medicine.

While having a conversation at the ‘Full-Send’ podcast, Umar Nurmagomedov emphasized that he is more Georgian than Merab Dvalishvili, “You think everybody have to respect to Merab and they will? A lot of guys don’t care about Merab and they don’t think he is a man. Even me, I think I’m the more Georgian and man more than him.”

He further added, “If we look at how he follows Georgian tradition, okay, he represents his country with tattoo and with black papakha and what else? What about life outside the doors? Anybody’s [a better role model] than him.”  Well, Nurmagomedov got a stern response from Dvalishvili.

“He’s going to get slapped for that… Bro, he represents nothing. He can’t represent Dagestan. He’s not Russian. He’s not Georgian. He can’t represent nothing. He’s not Russian. He’s from Dagestan, but he represents Russia. What kind of – and then he’s saying he’s Georgian now. Good luck, ” said the champ in the comments. Their rivalry will soon be concluded this weekend but we will move on to the last segment of the Roundup.
