Conor McGregor surprises fans at NBA game in Utah

Conor McGregor has been having the best time of his life back in the United States of America. After his charming presence at BKFC Knucklemania 5, the former UFC champion marked his presence at the BYU basketball game against Baylor. Amidst the match, ‘Mystic Mac’ stepped in as a surprise and caught the attention of the fans there. Not only that, the former UFC champ even had a brief funny moment with the players as well.

Conor McGregor was spotted sitting courtside at the Marriott Center alongside representatives from Orem-based Bucked Up Energy Drinks. As a sponsor of Bucked Up, “The Notorious” has his own signature line of energy drinks with the brand. Interestingly, when the former UFC champ sat down in the stands, many fans took out their phones to take a picture with him.

Well, this is his second NBA game outing after his bizarre interaction with Brook Lopez. And two years ago, he accidentally punched the Miami Heat mascot during a promotional bit for TIDL Sport. But this time, it’s all sunshine and rainbows for the MMA star. So we will let him enjoy his time on the courts and move our attention to Rashad Evans and his controversy with GFL.

Rashad Evans trashes the GFL for adding him to the draft without consent

GFL has been adding several high-profile fighters to its roster, including Rashad Evans. The company took to social media to share a photo announcing Evans’ addition to the Los Angeles team roster. However, there’s a catch to this as well. It appears that Evans has not been officially drafted by the GFL as he is prepping up to face Rampage Jackson in a boxing match.

The former UFC light-heavyweight champion took to his X handle to assert that he has not given consent about his inclusion, “I’m NOT!! Let me be clear! The only commitment I have is to lay yo a– out in April!! I was added to this without my consent!! You ain’t off the hook that easy!”

So, why was he included? Well, according to GFL founder, Darren Owens, he has the option to make a mark in the roster – “[Evans’ manager] Ali [Abdelaziz] was like — literally the day before the draft, I’m like, ‘Ali, we’re good to put him in?’ He’s like, ‘Yes, brother; yes, brother. We’re good to put him in.’ So we put him in, and Rashad obviously came out afterward and said, ‘Hey, I didn’t sign.’ But I think if you look at the history of drafts, are any of those athletes signed before they get drafted to the team? No.” While this situation develops, let us take a look at our last segment – on Israel Adesanya.

Israel Adesanya challenges middleweight prospect for a fight

Israel Adesanya will be coming back this February to clash against Nassourdine Imavov at UFC Saudi Arabia. However, it appears that the former two-time middleweight champion is already looking past Imavov as he has another opponent on his mind. In his recent conversation with ‘Ariel Helwani’ Israel Adesanya emphasized that he would be more than happy to clash against Caio Borralho after UFC Riyadh.

“Good style, I like his style,” Adesanya said. “Our interactions have been respectful and cordial. And it’s just f***ing hands, bro. You’re good, I’m good, let’s throw hands and see what’s up. No bad blood or nothing, I just want to test myself against these young guys like Nassourdine Imavov. I know the answer, but I want to prove it to myself and find out myself. So we’re going to find out.”

Caio Borralho remains undefeated in his UFC career and is currently riding a nine-fight winning streak under the promotion. Going toe-to-toe with him at his peak is a daunting task, but not an impossible one. Interestingly, facing top contenders only highlights Adesanya’s determination to climb back into the title race.
