Michael Chandler opines on Dana White’s meeting with Conor McGregor

After the UFC CEO confirmed that he was in talks with Conor McGregor regarding his return fight, Michael Chandler caught the attention of it. He shared a tweet confirming that the duo will sit down once again for yet another meeting. Chandler is hoping that he hopes that Dana White asked ‘The Notorious’ to keep his word and fight him soon.

“I heard there was a meeting in Abu Dhabi or Dubai tonight…hopefully Dana can convince [McGregor] to be a man of his word…but we all make claims we can’t back up at times…it’s human nature…I don’t fault him for it,” said Michael Chandler. Moreover, he also took a dig at Conor McGregor, claiming that he may never return to fight in MMA again.

“Imagine saying it, ‘the greatest comeback in combat sports history’ and then doing a whole sham of a documentary about it, and then never coming back – McGregor FORGOTTEN,” Chandler added. It remains to be seen how soon we get to see ‘Iron’ fight McGregor or if there will be a change in the matchup.

Islam Makhachev could snub Charles Oliveira

UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier posted a ‘DC End of Year Show’ video on his YouTube channel recently. The former double champion weighed in on the lightweight title picture and opened up on his thoughts about Charles Oliveira’s chances of getting to fight Islam Makhachev for the title. Cormier claims that ‘Do Bronxs’ may get snubbed by the champion due to Arman Tsarukyan‘s recent win over Beneil Dariush.

“Here’s the problem. Because Beneil Dariush went now lost to Tsarukyan, that win doesn’t look as glowing for Charles Oliveira,” said Daniel Cormier. The UFC legend also mentioned that if Oliveira did not get injured days before UFC 294, that would have been his one good chance for a rematch with Islam Makhachev. Now, Arman Tsarukyan’s recent rise could prove to be a hurdle to the Brazilian.

The trilogy fight against Israel Adesanya is not a concern for Alex Pereira

‘Poatan’ recently etched his name in the history books after becoming a two-division champion at UFC 295. He defeated a returning Jiri Prochazka to capture the light heavyweight title. Recently, Alex Pereira revealed his thoughts about a trilogy fight against his arch-nemesis Israel Adesanya, and apparently, he doesn’t seem too interested in that fight anymore.

I’m focusing now on my next steps, been having some directional conversations with the organization that is making me really happy, but I cannot talk about it yet, but I’m focused on a different direction now,” said Pereira during an interview with ‘TheMacLife’. It seems like ‘Poatan’ is thinking of making a move up rather than go back and fight Israel Adesanya at 185lbs. We will have to wait and see how ‘Izzy’ reacts to this statement as he hinted a return to the Octagon soon.
