Dana White denies any stadium event for the UFC in the future

Dana White attended WrestleMania 41, which proved to be nothing short of a masterpiece by the WWE. The UFC CEO witnessed the action live alongside a packed crowd in attendance, who screamed their lungs out. Many within the community believed this might change White’s stance on stadiums, but the reality is quite the opposite.

At the UFC Kansas City post-fight press conference, Dana White was asked about holding events in a stadium, to which the UFC CEO stated that he has not changed his mind regarding hosting UFC events in stadiums. “No, nothing will change my mind. I mean, you guys were here tonight. Kansas City is an awesome city, people here are great, I really like the energy in that place. It was awesome; that’s the energy you get here. Listen, when you get 63,000 people there, I mean, you are gonna get some energy. Like, I’m not a fan of stadiums; I like arenas.”

Dana White has been vocal about not holding events in stadiums, despite the potential to attract more fans. But will his stance change if Conor McGregor demands it? For now, let’s move forward to Kamaru Usman, who may have secured his next match.

Joaquin Buckley takes a shot at Kamaru Usman ahead of UFC Atlanta

Former UFC bantamweight champion Kamaru Usman will finally return to the Octagon after an 18-month hiatus, and his opponent? None other than Joaquin Buckley, who has yet to concede a defeat in the welterweight division. Usman is on a three-fight losing streak while Buckley is fresh off a victory against former interim welterweight champion Colby Covington.

Ahead of their fight, ‘New Mansa’ came forward to take a brutal dig at Usman. “Kamaru’s knees are so brittle, you know, I mean, no foundation at all, and I’m scared he might not make it to the walkout. He’s gonna have to crawl to the cage, 100%.”  Unfortunately, Buckley’s words hold true, as it is well-known within the MMA realm that Kamaru Usman’s knees have been a recurring issue for him. The former champion has repeatedly emphasized that, at times, it’s even difficult for him to walk.

However, despite his weak knees, Kamaru Usman is one of the best to have ever embraced the Octagon, and ‘New Mansa’ shouldn’t take the former champion lightly. Regardless, let us move forward to Chael Sonnen, who has come forward to publicly defend Laura Sanko.

“Not liking Sankos use of the word “stalling” tonight. What are these guys supposed to do when in a bad position?? Make it worse?? The guy in dominant position needs to advance unless it’s a 5050 situation. #UFCKansasCity,” wrote Aljamain Sterling on his X handle, accusing Laura Sanko of substandard commentary at UFC Kansas City during the fight between Giga Chikadze and David Onama. Sanko basically pointed out that Onama was stalling in one of the sequences in the fight, which ‘Funk Master’ didn’t like.

David Onama used his wrestling to secure the top position over Chikadze, controlling him throughout the fight. As he took the victory, Sanko made a statement, but Sterling didn’t like what she had uttered. Has Sanko issued any statement in response yet? Well, certainly not; however, Chael Sonnen came forward to publicly defend his comrade.

Taking his X handle, Sonnen wrote, “Sanko knows what she is looking at. She relays complex dynamic situations in very simple terms.” Laura Sanko has been a part of the promotion commentary since February 4, 2023, making her debut at UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Spivak.
