Cain Velasquez drops a major hint regarding his relationship with Dana White
In a recent conversation with Basement Talk, Velasquez opened up on his relationship with Dana White. He said, “Good man, you know. With him, it’s always business, you know. With the UFC and him, I’ve learned so much, you know. And there’s a lot of good things, and whatever you call good or bad, whatever, like, I learned so much from him. So, I appreciate him for what he’s doing that people can make a living off of what they love to do, growing this sport where people didn’t think like this would be anything. So, all that’s amazing, you know. And he’s been there for all of it.”
However, the MMA community has one important question. Was White really the one who paid the $1M bail for Velasquez? It seems like he did. When the interviewer asked if the UFC head honcho supported the former 2-time heavyweight champion through his tough trial, Velasquez said, “I don’t know if he gave out a statement or something beforehand, you know, when I was locked up. And also he did pay my bail as well. They’re helping.”

Tim Elliott reveals his stance for UFC 319
Taking to Instagram, ‘The Bread Man’ revealed a facial injury, showcasing a cut right below his eye. Of course, the cut was stitched up, and he put a band-aid on it. Still, the question remains: Will Tim Elliott show up to fight Asakura at UFC 319 or will he pull out because of the injury?
As of now there’s still a lot of time left for UFC 319. By the time the event comes close, the #11 flyweight contender’s injury would have most likely healed. Nevertheless, KevinK recently revealed Elliott’s stance regarding the fight. Taking to X, he wrote, “Tim Elliott Confirms He Will Be Fighting At #UFC319 No Matter What vs Kai Asakura 👏.”

Cards announced for UFC Nashville
On X, KevinK pointed out that we won’t get to witness the proposed battle between Anthony Hernandez and Jared Cannonier anymore. The X post read, “Per Sources: The UFC Originally Planned to Do Anthony Hernandez vs Jared Cannonier in Nashville July 12th for the Main Card but Talks fell through.”
So, do we have a replacement for that? Of course! Dana White and Co. wouldn’t leave us all hanging, would they? Instead of Hernandez vs. Cannonier, we’ll now get to see Hernandez fight Roman Dolidze. KevinK added, “The UFC Ended up doing Fluffy vs Roman Dolidze for #UFCVegas109.”
