Dana White is still confident about Charles Oliveira for the lightweight title fight.

Everyone is aware of the fact that Charles Oliveira had to pull out of his bout against Islam Makhachev due to injuries and Alexander Volkanovski had to step up to fill the shortcoming. However, Makhachev has now defeated ‘Volk’ in the event, and Makhachev might be looking forward to new opponents now.

Both Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje are leading contenders for the lightweight title fight, but only one of them can face Makhachev next. Dana White, in his recent statement, may have dispelled all doubts surrounding the fate of the lightweight division.

White, while having a post-fight press conference, stated, ” Listen, you’ve got to give it to Oliveira. Oliveira is ready to go; unfortunately, he got a cut. I think we give it to Oliveira. But again, these are all questions that I really can’t answer right now. We get home, we figure it out, and see what’s next for everybody.”

UFC’s doctor almost caused an all-out brawl at Johnny Walker vs. Magomed Ankalaev

During the first round, Johnny Walker and Magomed Ankalaev showcased their intensifying grappling techniques, both of the fighters initially struggled to take each other down. In the middle of the fight, the fighters found each other cornered and suddenly Ankalaev threw a knee strike to Walker’s head while he was down. The foul knee forced the doctors to intervene for examination, which led to a quick termination of the fight.
