Daniel Cormier reveals his biggest regret

Daniel Cormier recently held a seminar at Eddie Alvarez’s Underground Kings. Therein, a student asked the former heavyweight champion about his proudest moment and the biggest regret in his fighting career. Well, DC was proud of his entire fighting career. After all, he started fighting at the age of 31 and even became a simultaneous double champion.  And as far as his regrets are concerned, only one name came to his mind.

It was indeed Jon Jones. Cormier said, “And biggest regret, I don’t know, man. Probably… So, I lost that fight in Anaheim to Jones, and I was fighting really well, and I kind of started talking to him. And I lost track and lost focus, and I ended up getting kicked in the head. So, yeah. I should have stayed locked in. That’s probably the thing I regret the most. It just, I was just feeling so good that night that I kind of got outside of myself a little bit.”

Of course, this bout ended up in a no-contest, even though it was initially Jones’ win. But now, things have changed, and DC has found solace as an analyst and a commentator. Now, let’s take a look at the new challenge for Bo Nickal. 

Bo Nickal receives a new challenge despite UFC Des Moines loss

Nickal faced a terrible defeat at the hands (knees, to be honest) of Reinier de Ridder. It did not surprise many since ‘RDR’ was a former 2-division champion at ONE Championship, and getting hit in the liver often rendered fighters incapacitated. But the fighting community has only one question following the fight. “Who’s next for Bo Nickal after suffering his first defeat?” It seems like the former NCAA wrestling champion has his next challenge waiting.  

And that’s none other than Torrez Finney. In a post by BET US, which asked the aforementioned question to the fighting world, Finney replied, “Sign me up! A fight I’ve always wanted.” ‘The Punisher’ has remained undefeated and is currently on a 16-fight win streak. Even though Nickal lost his undefeated status, it’s still a fight worth making, don’t you agree?

Dustin Poirier gets ready to father a baby boy

Dustin Poirier is surely a family man. Following his defeat against Islam Makhachev at UFC 302, he dedicated his fight to the women in his life – his wife and his daughter. But now, the Cajun mixed martial artist has one more reason to fight for greatness. As he gets ready to take on Max Holloway with the BMF belt on the line, ‘The Diamond’ is also getting ready to welcome a new member to his family. 

Yes indeed! The Poirier family recently had a gender reveal ceremony, and the balloon burst out to shower blue all around, announcing that the Poiriers are going to have a baby boy. Needless to say, the former UFC interim lightweight champion was overjoyed with the gender reveal. Even fight fans joined the Lafayette resident in his moment of joy. However, there were some fans who decided to poke fun at Alexander Volkanovski, who has three daughters, claiming, “Volk cant relate.” The two-time featherweight champion’s reaction to the gender reveal of his third baby had the MMA world doubling up with laughter.
