Islam Makhachev comes under fire with IV accusations
Islam Makhachev recently defeated Alexander Volkanovski for a second time to assert his position as the lightweight champion. But in his first fight against the Aussie, the Dagestan native found himself on the receiving end of accusations over the alleged use of intravenous fluids (IV) from Dan Hooker. As such, Makhachev’s recent announcement of his return in June or July has not been received well by fans as they brought up the IV accusations again.

Some others ideated that Makhachev could be using PEDs. It remains to be seen how the lightweight champion tackles such accusations as he approaches the date of his return to action.
