But in his first fight against the Aussie, the Dagestan native found himself on the receiving end of accusations over the alleged use of intravenous fluids (IV) from Dan Hooker. As such, Makhachev’s recent announcement of his return in June or July has not been received well by fans as they brought up the IV accusations again.

Some fans believe that Islam Makhachev is not fighting in his natural weight class, and is using IV to do that. They also wanted to know what he was weighing at this time. Some others ideated that Makhachev could be using PEDs. It remains to be seen how the lightweight champion tackles such accusations as he approaches the date of his return to action.

Dana White keeps mum on questions about UFC 300

This past weekend, the UFC CEO was seen attending a boxing event in Las Vegas, where UFC Vegas 85 also took place. He went there as a spectator to watch the event after taking a few minutes to talk to the media representatives. The media asked Dana White some questions, to which he wasn’t too fond of making any statements.

When the media asked Dana White about his thoughts on the boxing match between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk getting postponed, he wanted no part of it. The 54-year-old said, “I don’t make anything of it. It’s none of my business.”

The media even had questions regarding UFC 300. Dana White is yet to announce the headliner for the historic event in April. So, when he got asked questions in that regard, the UFC CEO declined to comment yet again. It seems like White could have a big fight for the fans lined up for UFC 300.

Charles Radtke demands to be paid for interviews

Welterweight contender Charles Radtke recently registered his ninth career win against Gilbert Urbina at UFC Vegas 85, securing a second consecutive win in the UFC. However, what caught the attention of MMA enthusiasts was his post-fight press conference appearance. When asked when Radtke hopes to come back for his next fight, he demanded to be paid for answering questions during interviews.

“How much money you got? That’s what it is. You guys get these interviews for free. I need to get paid. Let’s go,” Charles Radtke stated. It was a bizarre demand say the least since other fighters haven’t made these kinds of demands from the UFC ever. We will have to wait and see how the promotion’s executives react to such demands from the 33-year-old welterweight.
