The opening ceremony of the 33rd Olympics has entangled itself into a spiral of controversies. While having a conversation with Ushatayka, a Russian podcaster, Makhachev said, “Well, to be honest, I watched fragments of the Olympics ceremony. It was disgusting. It is disrespectful too. I don’t know, to all religions in general, to all human values, honestly. I even planned to go to the Olympics. After such, I don’t even want to go there.” The lightweight champion further stated that the Olympics should have been hosted by Russia. Now, let us move on to his mentor Khabib Nurmagomedov, who has a word of advice for the UFC Supremo Dana White.

UFC 304 witnessed the emergence of a new welterweight champion Belal Muhammad. ‘Remember The Name’ made sure that the entire world remembers his name this time. Muhammad completely dominated Leon Edwards through most of the five rounds to clinch the title by way of a unanimous decision. Belal Muhammad not only got the belt but also handed Edwards his first defeat in eight long years.

Regardless, at the post-fight press conference, Dana White credited Muhammad’s victory to Khabib Nurmagomedov’s name, “It was not a barnburner…I know Belal’s been training with Khabib, so his performance was what you would expect,” said White. Muhammad’s been training alongside ‘Eagle’ for quite some time and according to White, Team Khabib was the x factor in Muhammad’s game.

However, Khabib Nurmagomedov would beg to differ. The former lightweight champion of the world refuted White’s statement by uploading a story on his Instagram handle, “Belal trained with his coaches, he has very high-class coaches. I just helped him in small things. All credit goes to his coaches and Belal’s heart.'” Dana White might have said that statement without any harsh feelings but ‘Eagle’ made sure that he didn’t steal his friends’ credits. Well, let us move on to another news regarding UFC 304.
