“It was not like just my decision,” Jiri Prochazka said. He also mentioned that after discussing his injury situation with the UFC brass, he concluded that the division should be moving on from his title reign. “After some talks, I think the division and the UFC, all the game, have to go on. That’s the main point,” Prochazka added.

However, Jiri Prochazka has nothing to worry about now. He is making his return to a title fight, which will headline UFC 295. It remains to be seen if he can edge past Alex Pereira and become a two-time champion in the light heavyweight division.

The former champion believes Alex Pereira is underestimating him

Jiri Prochazka shared a video of an interview in his native language on YouTube. ‘Denisa’ also stated that he believes Alex Pereira is not taking him seriously. He claims to be underestimated by ‘Poatan’. However, he’s determined to show him what he’s capable of at UFC 295. “I think he underestimates me a bit, but he’ll find out when we meet face to face,” Jiri Prochazka added. We will have to wait and see how that pans out.
