Get ready for exciting new stories from the world of MMA in our latest edition of the daily roundup! We will start this news compilation with former light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill, who garnered the support of Joe Rogan regarding the controversial moment in his fight against Alex Pereira at UFC 300. Then we will shift our focus to Arman Tsarukyan and Benoit Saint-Denis, who apparently agreed to a fight. Finally, we will conclude this roundup with Rogan and Max Holloway, discussing a possible fight against Conor McGregor.

Joe Rogan backs Jamahal Hill regarding his UFC 300 loss

Joe Rogan recently dropped another JRE episode featuring Max Holloway as a guest, where he shared his insight on the UFC 300 main event. After viewing the fight on more than one occasion, the 56-year-old concluded that Jamahal Hill did not really lose the fight due to his error in judgment. The reason behind his findings is that ‘Sweet Dreams’ stopped fighting as soon as Herb Dean came in to temporarily pause the fight, believing that Hill kicked Alex Pereira in his groin region, which is illegal, but that wasn’t the case. That temporary stoppage acted as a distraction for the former champion.

“Jamahal accidentally hits him low, he like kicks him in the hip and Herb Dean comes in to stop it… Jamahal has stopped and relaxed after he threw the kick… all of a sudden he’s on him and he hits him with that left hook. And I think Jamahal is saying, I would have never let him that close to me if it wasn’t for that nut shot and I didn’t know exactly what was going on,” said Joe Rogan. What is done is done and Jamahal Hill cannot change it. Hence, we will have to wait and see what’s next for the 32-year-old following his underwhelming return at UFC 300.

Benoit Saint-Denis and Arman Tsarukyan to compete in a jiu-jitsu match

Arman Tsarukyan recently got into a back-and-forth with Islam Makhachev, who claimed that ‘Ahalkalakets’ was afraid to fight him. However, the Armenian star responded by revealing that did not want to make the same mistake as he did back when he had his first fight against Makhachev, which he lost. As such, a 6-week turnaround was not something that he felt was possible for him after fighting Charles Oliveira at UFC 300. Tsarukyan may not be ready to throw down his fists inside the Octagon, but he will be returning to action against a fellow lightweight star in a grappling match.

Arman Tsarukyan will be heading to Paris as he’s scheduled to face Frenchman Benoit Saint-Denis in a grappling match under the XDC promotion’s banner. The fight will be of five rounds, and each round will have a duration of three minutes. It remains to be seen who comes out on top since it can help build some momentum in the duo which they could carry in their next UFC fight.

Is there a possible Conor McGregor fight on the horizon for Max Holloway?

Following Max Holloway’s mind-blowing and once-in-a-lifetime knockout win over Justin Gaethje at UFC 300, Joe Rogan believes that ‘Blessed’ has become an even bigger attraction than he was before. He also stated during the recent ‘JRE MMA Show‘ upside that now the new BMF champion’s next fight will be a matter of great intrigue for the fans. Rogan said, “Your next fight is going to be huge… You’re a f***ing bonafide superstar now.” Just then, Max Holloway mentioned what he wanted next, and like many others, he took Conor McGregor’s name. If he had the power to make fights, he would have chosen the opportunity to compete for the ‘red panty night’.

“If I could have it my way, I’d be stupid to not say to fight Conor. I think that Conor’s fight would be huge, whatever. But we don’t know what he’s going to do,” Holloway stated. It is unlikely that we will get to see McGregor fight ‘Blessed’ ever again because of two reasons. Firstly, ‘The Notorious’ already has a fight coming up against Michael Chandler.

Secondly, McGregor claims to have only one more fight left in his contract, and as far as an extension is concerned, there are currently no reports on that front. It will be interesting to see if these two UFC stars ever cross paths in the future because, for now, it does not seem like a possibility.
