Joe Rogan reveals the staggering amount Jon Jones wants to fight Tom Aspinall

After Dana White turned down Jon Jones’s request for the Alex Pereira legacy fight, the two-weight champion claimed that he would need “f*** you money” to put his legacy on the line against Tom Aspinall. While nobody had any idea of what that amount looked like, Joe Rogan recently revealed that he heard that it’s a massive 8-figure payout demand, or $30 million, to be exact.

“The rumor is that he wants $30 million. I hope they [UFC] pay it,” Joe Rogan stated on the #2249 edition of the JRE podcast. Then again, it’s all rumors for at this point, we’ll only find out the true figure as the year progresses with Dana White adamant about materializing the Jones vs Aspinall fight. After all, he believes it’s the biggest fight in UFC history.

While that story develops, let’s take a look at the fighter who currently holds the record for the biggest UFC fight ever, Conor McGregor. The Irishman appears to have made pretty bold plans for the future.

Is Conor McGregor getting into politics?

An account on X by the username, McGregor Forever recently shared an edited video of the Irish sensation during his prime years as a UFC fighter. On that post, the user captioned the post: “The Real Gangster.” Well, Conor McGregor was quick to respond to the fan as, half an hour later, he’d respond by claiming that he didn’t think of himself by that description.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Jon Jones worth the $30 million demand, or is he overestimating his market value?

Instead, Conor McGregor claimed to have considered his option to dive into politics in the future. “I’m not a gangster I’m a budding politician,” ‘The Notorious’ stated. This revelation doesn’t come as a surprise because the former double champion had previously taken his time and used his platform to speak about numerous socio-economic and political issues regarding his native country.

However, his recent controversies and civil lawsuit loss may have diminished his chances of running for office, but he has pledged to appeal against the judge’s verdict regarding that lawsuit. It remains to be seen how the future pans out for McGregor, as we move onto our final big story.

Sean O’Malley is gunning for a title rematch in his next fight

It’s been a few months since Sean O’Malley lost the bantamweight title in a one-sided affair against Merab Dvalishvili. He’s now razor-focussed on the upcoming pay-per-view as ‘The Machine’ defends his title for the first time against the undefeated Umar Nurmagomedov. O’Malley is rooting for Dvalishvili, who took the title from him, to come out on top at UFC 311, and after that, he wants to get a crack at the belt.

“Ideally, Merab beats Umar and I get the rematch,” ‘Suga’ stated during the pre-fight presser for Rizin 49, as O’Malley is currently in Japan to witness some action in the land of the rising sun. Meanwhile, the former champion doesn’t mind butting heads with Umar Nurmagomedov if it comes to that, but he’s made clear that he currently wants to battle only for the 135-pound gold. ” That’s what I want next is a title fight. Hopefully mid-next year. So the winner of that one. That fight’s coming up very, very soon,” O’Malley added.
