During a recent episode of the JRE podcast, Joe Rogan and Derek from ‘More Plates More Dates’ engaged in a conversation regarding the UFC’s new drug testing program with Drug Free Sport International. It seems like the promotion is going to have a much more relaxed procedure than they had with USADA. As such, Rogan came out in support of that concerning Conor McGregor’s injury.

“I would imagine it’s going to be a little more ‘lax and I would support that,” said Joe Rogan. He also mentioned that he supports fighters to tend to take banned substances that help them in recovery. Rogan added, “I certainly support guys taking things to recover from injury, like Conor did with his leg injury. 100 percent.”

Joe Rogan mentioned that it is hard for fighters to get back to their elite levels after getting injured, like Conor McGregor had. “No one comes back from that [kind of injury]. No one has ever come back from that catastrophic leg break,” said the 56-year-old.

Text messages between Dana White and Ex-owner Lorenzo Fertitta have been revealed

The ongoing antitrust lawsuit has made many revelations about how the UFC goes about its business. However, a recent revelation regarding a text message conversation between Dana White and former owner Lorenzo Fertitta has made headlines. There was a point in time when Gilbert Melendez and former champion Eddie Alvarez wanted to leave the UFC. However, the promotion kept them on their roster with the help of various contractual clauses.

As reported by ‘Bloody Elbow‘, after securing the services of Melendez and Alvarez for a prolonged time, Dana White sent a message to Lorenzo Fertitta to celebrate their negotiation tactics. He said, “Bro, u know i love u to f**n death as it is but what u pulled off this week with Melendez and “other dude” is f**n BAD A**! F**n cut throat nasty business like u see in movies!!”

“We gotta keep taking these f***ers oxygen till they tap out. We have sacrificed too much to let anyone get traction now,” responded Fertitta. Dana White seemed to side with what the former owner had to say and said, “I agree! U r 100% correct and i LOVE IT.” There were several other messages revealed regarding their tactics with other fighters. We will have to wait and see what more details the lawsuit will uncover in the days to come.
