UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones’ former rival Ovince Saint Preux got suspended by USADA after testing positive for using a banned substance. The failed drug test revealed that the 26-17 fighter was using a metabolite of either androstenedione or testosterone. However, this was not the first time that he’s been caught for using banned substances.

Saint Preux has now violated the anti-doping policy of the UFC for the second time in his career. The doping agency collected his urine samples twice – on June 17 and July 11. Both of those tests constitute a single violation. However, Ovince Saint Preux is eligible to make his return to the Octagon in December this year. As USADA carried on with their investigation, Saint Preux submitted a container of a supplement he had been consuming for analysis.

After analysis, it was revealed that a banned substance, 1-Androstenedione, was present in it despite it not being mentioned on the label of the supplement’s container. Besides, a similar incident resulted in his previous suspension as well.

Valentina Shevchenko goes off on UFC judge Mike Bell

‘Bullet’ put up a tremendous performance at Noche UFC in the rematch against Alexa Grasso. However, the match ended in a split decision draw, which many people thought Valentina Shevchenko had clearly won. Moreover, one of the judges, Mike Bell, scored the final round 10-8, which sparked a lot of controversy among fans and other MMA personalities. Recently, Shevchenko opened up about the fight and even took aim at Mike Bell for his scorecard.

Shevchenko mentioned that the scorecard of the 5th round was unfair. She was very vocal about it. She said, “Yes, definitely, the scorecard in the final round… 10-8 [was unfair].” ‘Bullet’ mentioned that Mike Bell needs to offer an explanation not just to her, but to the entire MMA community regarding his decision for the way he scored the fight. “I think that the whole world would love to hear his explanation… It’s not me, it’s him. He’s going to live with that mistake forever,” said Valentina Shevchenko. We will have to wait and see what step the UFC takes in the days to come.
