Jorge Masvidal sends a message to Conor McGregor

The first-ever BMF champion had the opportunity to crown Justin Gaethje as the new champion after his KO win over Dustin Poirier. Following ‘The Highlight’s win, Conor McGregor shared a message on social media, claiming that he was the real BMF in the UFC. However, Jorge Masvidal did not take too kindly to his words.

‘Gamebred’ shared a Twitter post and replied to Conor McGregor about his BMF claims and constant call-outs. He defended both his teammate Dustin Poirier and the new champion Justin Gaethje.

Masvidal addressed McGregor, not getting cleared to fight. He asked him to take a drug test before talking trash about other fighters. The former UFC fighter also claimed that ‘The Notorious’ was scared of him and that’s why he never called him out.

Stephen Thompson is yet to get paid by the UFC

During ‘Wonderboy’s recent appearance on ‘The MMA Hour’, he mentioned how frustrated he was after Michel Pereira missed the weight. Moreover, when Ariel Helwani asked him about his payment situation, Thompson said that he and his management are currently talking to the UFC about it since Dana White is out on vacation. He is yet to receive his show money.

Stephen Thompson also stated that he has full faith that the UFC will not do wrong by him. However, ‘Wonderboy’ would be disappointed if they did not accommodate the financial side of things. He said, “I have done everything that I am supposed to do. I have tried to be as honorable as possible when it comes to signing my contracts… I will be disappointed [if I’m not paid].”

Rose Namajunas thought about hanging up her gloves

‘Thug’ Rose Namajunas also made an appearance in the recent edition of ‘MMA Hour’. She’s gearing up for her flyweight debut against Manon Fiorot at UFC France. Meanwhile, she mentioned during her time away from the octagon, she considered giving up fighting. Namajunas talked about her UFC 274 fight against Carla Esparza where she lost her strawweight title.

According to Namajunas, as she was preparing to walk out to the Octagon for the fight, she felt as if she did not want to fight anymore. She wasn’t feeling aggressive and did not want to hurt anyone. Namajunas said, “There was definitely a number of things, but the way I felt going into the locker room [at UFC 274], I just didn’t feel aggressive and I felt like I don’t really want to hurt anybody. So I was just like, ‘Yeah, I guess I’m done.” However, she is looking to make a name for herself once again when she returns on September 2.
