Becoming a two-division champion in MMA is a huge task in itself, but wait, what if we tell you the world of MMA just got a three-division champion? You heard that right, Russian sensation, Anatoly Malykhin has defeated Reiner De Ridder at ONE 166 in Qatar to clinch ONE Championship’s middleweight title to become the first three-division champion in MMA history. Malykhin is now heavyweight, light-heavyweight as well as middleweight champion of the world at ONE.

Malykhin’s victory garnered the attention of UFC star Khamzat Chimaev. ‘Borz’ took to his social media space to give respect to the newly crowned three-division champion. Chimaev took to the Instagram handle of ONE Championship to comment “Champ” under a post highlighting Malykhin’s coronation. He further added the same video on his Instagram story and captioned it as “Here he is the triple champ. Congratulation Champ.”

Malykhin achieved what Chimaev dreamt of achieving in the UFC. Nonetheless, the Chechen was all praise for the ONE star. Now, let us shift our focus to another legend, Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Khabib Nurmagomedov gets slammed for UFC 300 statement

UFC 300 is just months away and the preparation for the grand event of the year is going smoothly. The entire card is packed with Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill headlining it. However, the former lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov seems to have some issues with the co-main event of the night, that is Max Holloway vs, Justin Gaethje.

While having a conversation with the media, ‘Eagle’ stated that he did not understand the reasoning behind UFC’s decision to put Gaethje and Holloway in the bout. He said “I don’t understand, no makes sense why they don’t give Islam Justin Gaethje? Why they make him fight vs. Holloway? I don’t understand what UFC have planned but Islam ready to fight with anybody.”

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s words seem to have no alliance with the MMA community. Fans of the sports ripped apart ‘Eagle’ for showing double standards. The fans state that Nurmagomedov should concentrate on Islam Makhachev rather than Max Holloway. Well, UFC 300 is still quite far away, so now let us shift our focus to what’s coming in March: UFC 299.

Sean O’Malley is planning to make Marlon Vera cry

UFC 299 is just around the corner and seems like Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera are ready to roll. Their initial clash resulted in ‘Chito’s victory against ‘Suga’. O’Malley, after that defeat, redeemed himself by becoming the bantamweight champion and now ‘Suga’ has to defend his title against his lone defeat. History might be rewritten at the UFC 299, but ‘Suga’ seems to be planning to do more than just redeem his loss.

While having a conversation with the media, O’Malley stated that he was planning to knock ‘Chito’ out of the park –“F*** you [Chito]! I’m gonna knock you out, buddy! Their initial clash ended in an injury for the bantamweight champ, but seems like ‘Suga’ has a plan for ‘Chito’ this time around.
