Javier Mendez reveals the retirement details of Khabib Nurmagomedov
AKA coach Javier Mendez had an interview with ‘Helen Yee Sports’ where he addressed ‘The Eagle’ returning to train with the fighters. He claimed that Khabib Nurmagomedov never left, he’s continued to help his fighters out although he had earlier decided to leave all aspects of MMA. Mendez said, “Khabib has never left. he’s the same as he was when he said that he was going to step away from cornering.” Mendez also mentioned that Khabib Nurmagomedov has kept himself occupied in Dagestan, training his own fighters back home.
Fans were wondering if the Hall of Famer is back for good following a viral video of Nurmagomedov training with Cain Velasquez. However, that wasn’t the case. His cousin Abubakar Nurmagomedov has a fight coming up at UFC on ESPN 46, and that is one of the primary reasons behind the Hall of Famer’s return to AKA. Javier Mendez said, “He just happens to be here helping with Abubakar now, his cousin.” Moreover, the AKA coach has asked the fans to not hope for much because ‘The Eagle’ won’t be cornering every fighter.
Logan Paul trains with a couple of UFC champions
After Israel Adesanya‘s unexpected run-in at an Australian airport with former rival Alex Pereira, he and featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski were seen training with Logan Paul. They flew to Puerto Rico along with former IBJJF champion Craig Jones. The Oceanic trio participated in a grappling session with the social media sensation. They also shared a few pictures and videos from the training session on their social media handles.

The training session looked quite intense. Moreover, Logan Paul and Israel Adesanya went toe-to-toe with each other. It is well-documented that ‘The Maverick’ has expressed his desire to fight in the UFC someday. However, he is currently performing for the WWE, and even excelling as a professional wrestler.
Unlike other celebrities, Logan Paul has the legitimate tools to make it as an MMA fighter. He has an amateur wrestling background with a considerable amount of experience in boxing. When his PRIME deal with the UFC was officially announced, he was open to fighting Paddy Pimblett. We will have to wait and see if Paul transitions to MMA.
Conor McGregor goes off on Matt Brown
‘Notorious’ is at his trash-talking best yet again. UFC veteran Matt Brown appeared in an interview on Michael Bisping‘s YouTube channel. He made some bold remarks about Conor McGregor after the Irishman claimed that he would overtake his knockout record in the UFC. ‘The Immortal’ claimed that the former double champion is a ‘nobody’ while crediting him for all his achievements in the promotion.

Matt Brown, at 42 years of age, now holds the joint highest KO’s inside the UFC with 13KO’s. Him and “The Beast” Lewis are tied. I hold 8 KO’s inside the UFC currently, at 34 years of age.

Keeping in mind that a fight with McGregor could be a financial boon, Brown expressed his interest in going head-to-head with the Irishman. However, Conor McGregor would never let those types of comments slide. He took a jibe at ‘The Immortal’s previous struggles with substance abuse in a tweet which he later deleted. Brown has been very open about his past struggles, but McGregor’s comments may have left a very sour taste in his mouth. Would you like to see a grudge match between these two veterans?
