While having a conversation with MMA Fighting, ‘Darth Rigatoni’ alerted the UFC CEO Dana White that he has intentions to compete under MMA but before that, he will focus on making grappling popular, “The first thing I loved in life was MMA. If I can have the opportunity to fight MMA in the UFC, that’s going to be a dream, too. I want to do MMA, but the gift God has given me was jiu-jitsu, so I have to grow our sport first. I can’t leave our sport before helping it grow to a place where other people, other kids can have an organization to compete at in the future,” said Musumeci.

The 28-year-old emphasized that his ideal gameplan for an MMA fight would be a combination of Ryan Hall, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and Khamzat Chimaev fighting styles. Musumeci might have to prove his mettle in the grappling ground before he earns a deal from the UFC CEO. Regardless, let us move forward to the health update of Belal Muhammad.

Belal Muhammad updates about his health status before UFC 310

Belal Muhammad was supposed to clash against Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310 but a bone infection on the part of Muhammad stopped the match. ‘Remember the Name’ suffered a nasty toe infection that sent him to the hospital and forced his withdrawal from the fight. After the news spread, Rakhmonov gave a thumbs-up to Muhammad for his speedy recovery and asked the UFC for a fight. Regardless, weeks away from the UFC 310, ‘Remember The Name’ has come forward to give updates about his health, “Yeah, like the doctor even said it. He’s like, ‘Bro, I’ve never seen it heal this quickly.’ So, for something like that to heal this quickly, like, you’re on point. Like, because the doctor is like, ‘Uh, again, shout out to the doctor, he’s a beast.’ He was like, ‘Bro, I’m usually working with, um, people with cancer and things like that, or, yeah, cancer and stuff like that,” said Muhammad.

He further added, “And he’s like, once you get like a bone infection, it’s like we’re snipping it off right away. There’s no, like, ifs, ands, or buts.’ So, to see it, like, with an athlete, it was like weird. But it’s like, to see the healing process now, he’s like, ‘It could heal like this if you’re healthy, if you’re active, and you take care of your body outside of it. Like, it’s healable, it’s treatable.'”

Belal Muhammad is happy the way his opponent is fighting rather than waiting for him and in addition to that he is happy that his division is not stagnant despite his injury. Regardless, as Muhammad plans his return, let us move on forward to the champions of another promotion, who might be having a hard time.

PFL champions call out promotion for not fixing fights in time

UF͏C͏ ͏may ͏be ͏reaching new heights, b͏ut͏ PFL and ͏Bellator appe͏ar to͏ be g͏rou͏nded, particularly by the fi͏g͏ht͏e͏rs. The ͏o͏nly ͏real challe͏n͏ge͏ t͏o ͏͏the U͏FC within͏ t͏he U.S͏. ͏migh͏t be cr͏umbli͏ng a͏ft͏er their͏ me͏rge͏r. Following ͏͏Patchy Mi͏x͏ and ͏C͏ore͏y ͏And͏͏e͏rson, P͏atric͏i͏o Pitbull has now͏ vo͏i͏ced ͏c͏͏oncerns a͏bout the forced sta͏g͏nation͏ of th͏͏ei͏͏r MMA car͏eer͏s.

The champions among others have raised concerns over prolonged inactivity and a lack of clear communication between the top brass of the promotion and them. According to the fighters, they have been sidelined by the promotion as they have been training for months now but nothing cames up as no one wants to fight them. “They said things didn’t work out with Japan and that it wasn’t their fault. Ok. So why don’t you stage a show somewhere else? What kind of promotion can’t give fighters at least two fights a year? Some haven’t even fought this year! Bellator used to be BIG. Things worked and we always had answers,” wrote Pitbull on his socials.

He further added, “They never just canceled a show and said they had no idea when we would be booked. Even regional promotions have dates set for April of next year already! This merger has been a disaster for the sport of MMA. I haven’t fought since February. I wanted to fight 3x this year, but I was told I’d have to wait until December 31st and found out online my opponent would fight someone else. Then they had a replacement, I bring people over, spend more money with the camp and there’s no fight.”

Regardless, the fire-packed Renan Ferreira vs. Francis Ngannou match was a thing to behold but PFL-Bellator failed to many PPV numbers as only 10000 people purchased the card to actually watch the fight. This has seriously hampered the business aspect of the things for the promotion. Well, PFL-Bellator might be going through a tough phase but this is not the case for UFC.
