Colby Covington unleashed some verbal venom on his UFC 296 opponent Leon Edwards at the pre-fight pressers. While smack-talking ‘Rocky’, he brought up the British fighter’s late father, which prompted the welterweight champion to throw a bottle at ‘Chaos’. If that wasn’t enough, he even took jibes at Stephen Thompson and Ian Garry’s wife, Layla Anna-Lee. Many MMA fighters, active and retired, reacted to those comments on social media.

Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson took to Twitter (X) and mentioned that he did not take a liking to what Colby Covington had to say about his fellow welterweight fighters. But he was not the only one who raised their voices against ‘Chaos’s verbal disses.

Similarly, Marvin Vettori sounded off expressing his wish to hit ‘Chaos’ in the back of his head. Even Belal Muhammad sounded off on Covington in a similar fashion.

Conor McGregor gets trolled on a post on Instagram

‘The Notorious’ recently shared a picture on his Instagram handle of his Forged Irish Stout team. However, fans found it funny and strange, with some claiming that Conor McGregor used some kind of a filter. But Quinton Jackson wanted to know the location of where the picture was taken. He commented, “Where?” Even Conor McGregor’s TUF 22 opposition coach also shared his reaction to the post.

Urijah Faber did not seem too impressed with McGregor’s post, leading him to comment with a face-palm emoji. Fans also seemed unaware of the identity of the couple of people who were in the picture with the Irishman. They just couldn’t stop taking a dig at the former double champion, believing that he FaceTune and went on to call him “Conor McFilter.”

‘Trailblazer’ is one of the most active fighters on the UFC roster. Given that Ian Garry pulled out of his fight against Vicente Luque this weekend, the fight was called off the card. However, Kevin Holland has an idea, and as such, made an offer to UFC CEO Dana White about possibly stepping into the fight this weekend.

“Here is the deal….I checked with both my wife and my gf, and they said I can fight this weekend [UFC 296] [WAG],” said Kevin Holland. We don’t have any information on whether Dana White has agreed to this offer or not, but if ‘Trailblazer’ fights this weekend, it will be his fourth fight of the year. We will have to wait and see if that comes to fruition.
