Will Dricus du Plessis vs. Israel Adesanya be the UFC 300 main event?
Jon Anik claimed that he might have a clue as to who will feature in the main event spot at UFC 300. The UFC commentator also said that White may announce the fight before UFC 298.

During a recent appearance on ‘The Schmozone‘, Anik said, “I’d imagine we will get that answer [UFC 300 main event] before Feb 17th.” Although he claimed to have had no inside information, Jon Anik believes a former champion will return in April.

Furthermore, he believes that Dricus du Plessis will defend his title for the first time against Israel Adesanya. “I guess my non-informed speculation is Israel Adesanya vs Dricus du Plessis,” Anik added. MMA journalist Ariel Helwani also reported that du Plessis vs Adesanya is considered. But Helwani also said a welterweight title fight between Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad is also up for discussion.
It remains to be seen if this is what Dana White has in mind for the fans at the historic UFC 300 pay-per-view.
Chael Sonnen claims Conor McGregor’s return is delayed because of Manny Pacquiao
Dana White recently revealed that Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler will fight sometime in the fall this year. He dismissed the Irishman’s claim of a return on June 29 in the process. Meanwhile, MMA veteran Chael Sonnen claimed that there is another factor in play that is stopping McGregor from making a June return. He said, “If you’re gonna take that exact fight and gonna do it, why not do it that day? Why do it three months later? The reason… There is something going on with Conor and Pacquiao.”
He further went on to mention that Conor McGregor had already expressed his wish to fight Manny Pacquaio not too long ago. And for some reason, Chael Sonnen could not see why ‘PacMan’ would not fight ‘The Notorious either. “Conor would like to box Pacquiao, that’s true. Pacquiao would like to box Conor, that’s true… there is a promoter and a financier for the fight,” ‘The American Gangster’ added.
It is an interesting story that has developed with McGregor thinking of a possible return to boxing. However, we will have to wait for the official word to see how things pan out.
Gordon Ryan is on the lookout for his stolen truck
Last month, Gordon Ryan announced that he was taking a leave of absence again from competition. This was due to his stomach illness, which has been a thorn in his path since the last year. While that’s a difficult situation for Ryan to deal with, he recently learned that somebody stole his truck. In a recent Instagram post, the 5-time ADCC champion said, “Here in Joe Biden’s America, someone just f***ing stole my TRX out of the driveway.”

Ryan shared that the burglar stole the custom Ram TRX truck in Austin, Texas. The car features mods that drove the value over $71 thousand. Ryan was not settling with the loss, as he had intentions of capturing the perpetrator. To catch the guilty, he has promised to give anyone who gives him information about the car thief a reward of $5,000.
“I will be offering a $5,000 reward for anyone who can point me to the truck,” Ryan added. We will have to wait and see if his attempts to retrieve his truck work out sooner rather than later.
