Jared Cannonier saw himself worthy of a title shot

A number of UFC fans have often lauded the superb in-octagon prowess of the noted UFC Middleweight, Jared Cannonier. ‘The Killa Gorilla’ earned a superb unanimous decision victory over Sean Strickland in his previous bout. Further, he also has a bout lined up for ‘UFC on ESPN 47’ against Marvin Vettori on 17 June.

In a recent interview on the YouTube channel, ‘Middle Easy’, Cannonier also revealed that he would deserve a title shot if he manages to get the better of his next rival, Marvin Vettori. Further, he also laid stress on the fact that he wanted a title shot at the upcoming UFC 293 in Sydney.

Cannonier said, “I will definitely be ready to fight in Sydney”. He was also aware that the UFC would probably give the current Middleweight champ, Israel Adesanya, another opportunity to become a cham-champ. He stated, “Either he goes up to light heavyweight and fights Jamahal[Hill] out there, or they have no choice but to put me in there because I’m definitely calling for it after I put Marvin’s lights out.”

A number of UFC fans might be aware of the current hustle and bustle going on in the Middleweight division regarding the next title shot. Amid all of this, do you see Cannier as a worthy title-shot contender even if he beats Marvin Vettori?

Nate Diaz came up with another demand prior to his Jake Paul fight

The list of demands from Nate Diaz related to his bout against Jake Paul didn’t show any signs of stopping. After some confusion regarding the number of rounds in the match, Diaz previously demanded a 12-round bout against Paul. But recently, he has come up with one more rather bizarre demand. Diaz is known in the MMA world for his affinity towards cannabis. He has also been spotted lighting up amid UFC press conferences.

This habit of Diaz was probably the reason behind his recent demand for a change of venue for his Jake Paul bout. The bout was previously scheduled for American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. But, the no-tolerance policy on marijuana in Texas might be a problem for the ‘Stockton Gangster’. Hence, Diaz recently took to his Twitter and stated, “We gonna have to move states.”

Looking at Diaz’s craving for cannabis, it’s quite apparent that he will make every effort to alter the venue of the event. Which venue do you think he might select?

Chael Sonnen bashed the USADA for giving a free hand to Conor McGregor

The UFC icon, Conor McGregor’s next fight against Michael Chandler is currently in discussions. Hence, it’s quite expected that he would need to step inside the USADA testing pool to get himself cleared for an octagon return. But, ‘Mystic Mac’ was recently seen partying and drinking in several events which propelled a few MMA fans and pundits to think that the USADA had relaxed McGregor from their testing pool.

The famed former UFC Middleweight, Chael Sonnen, also had the same opinion on this issue. On his YouTube channel, ‘The American Gangster’ was also a bit unhappy at this alleged decision from the USADA. He stated, They should walk right up to McGregor who they’ve been in front of and ask him to take a test. They should do that. They have the ability to do that, they have a precedence to do it. But, they elected to not do that.”

Sonnen further expressed his bewilderment stating, They have access to Conor. They know where Conor is and they know what his intention is. They could walk up and they could ask him for a sample any time and they haven’t done it.”
