A number of UFC fans and personalities had derided Dana White’s decision of granting the next Welterweight title shot to Colby Covington. Recently, the famed UFC legend, Chael Sonnen, also joined this team. But, instead of bashing the UFC president, he stated how there was one Welterweight whom he saw as a far more deserving one to get a title shot instead of ‘Chaos’.

Of late, ‘The American Gangster’ appeared on the coveted YouTube podcast of the former UFC star, Brendan Schaub, where he addressed this issue. Sonnen said, I got to start with this well, Belal definitely deserves it, Belal Muhammad has done enough[to get a Welterweight title shot]”. A lot of fans might agree with Sonnen on this. Especially after Muhammad’s remarkable current win streak of nine fights.

Sonnen, a master of building fights with trash-talking, also pointed out how the noted Welterweight, ‘Remember The Name’ Muhammad could’ve done a lot better with his selection of words to build his fight. He also pointed out similar flaws in the current Welterweight kingpin, Leon Edwards‘ iterations related to his next title shot.

Apparently, he was of the opinion that Muhammad could’ve received ‘Chaos’s’ title shot if he had a bit of Sonnen in him. Do you agree with ‘The American Gangster’ in this regard?

What exactly happened in the viral moment between Mike O Hearn and Ian Machado Garry?

The noted 54-year-old bodybuilder, Mike O Hearn, had been taking the internet by storm lately. Similarly, Conor McGregor’s countryman, Ian Machado Garry, repeated Hearn’s achievement inside the UFC as he too took it by storm after a superb first-round KO of his UFC on ABC 4 opponent, Daniel Rodriguez. These two stars of their own fields recently crossed paths at an event that led to a viral moment.

After meeting each other, Garry decided to throw a few light and friendly strikes at Hearn. But a majority of fans were shocked when he threw a right-body kick that didn’t look very friendly.

Chael Sonnen revealed UFC’s plans to grant Israel Adesanya another dual championship shot

To date, there have been only a handful of UFC fighters in the promotion who have held champions across different divisions simultaneously. With Conor McGregor being the initial UFC champ-champ, a few others like Amanda Nunes, Daniel Cormier, and Henry Cejudo have followed his path to achieve similar feats. The current UFC Middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, had also tried his luck at it. But, he failed to achieve the coveted champ-champ status after losing out to the noted UFC Light Heavyweight, Jan Blachowicz.

However, the famed UFC legend, Chael Sonnen recently revealed that the UFC was eager to give one more such opportunity to ‘The Last Stylebender’. ‘The American Gangster’ appeared on his YouTube channel stating, There is rumors that we’re taking on Adesanya under the weight class. There’s rumors that we’re going to take Adesanya in August, put him in a main event for the top, but bump him up to 205 pounds.”

From Sonnen’s words, it was also evident that Izzy would probably be moving up to Light Heavyweight for this challenge. But, it definitely won’t be a cakewalk for Adesanya to get the better of the UFC Light Heavyweight kingpin, Jamahal Hill. How do you see this bout unfolding if it ever happens?
