Also, Hasbulla Magomedov in an interview revealed that he has known Islam Makhachev for a long time. Hasbulla said that even though he and Makhachev were not close friends, they both have known each other for over 10 years. He even added that he and Makhachev were neighbours.

Hasbulla Magomedov was also present to support Islam Makhachev when the latter fought and secured a win at UFC 267 against Dan Hooker.
