More than a year ago, the former UFC welterweight fighter wrote a Tweet that mentioned Britney Spears. He wrote, “I’m kinda like the @britnerspears of @ufc”.
Fans were, however, unhappy with him comparing himself to Spears. As a result, Twitter users unleashed their thoughts. A particular Twitter user instead compared him to singer Chris Brown.
In the past, there have been allegations of domestic violence against the fighter. As reported by ‘MMA Fighting‘, Mike Perry denied those allegations. Hence, the user posted a side-by-side picture of Perry and Brown.

However, other users discussed the fighter’s UFC career in order to provide an argument as to why he and Spears were not alike.

But sure… you're Britney Spears, bro.

Others wondered if the fighter was about to shave his head.

Thus, not a lot of people were happy with Mike Perry’s tweet, and the fighter had to bear the brunt of it.

The incident is quite similar to that of UFC star, Conor McGregor. Back in 2019, many were shocked when several reports suggested that the Irish fighter had punched an older man in a pub in Ireland. ‘The Notorious’ too had to face a lot of criticism for his action.
