The buildup to the UFC 315 main event is gathering all sorts of momentum. As Belal Muhammad looks to get his first title defense against a dangerous striker in Jack Della Maddalena, the adversity around the Arab-American wrestler only keeps increasing. Recently, he was even subjected to the ‘Chaos’ of Colby Covington when he reached the premises of the UFC P1 and proceeded to hide his food.
As Colby and his team proceeded with their prank, his team could not seem to control their laughter as if the prank was hilarious. While absolutely berating Muhammad, Covington proceeded to hide Belal’s food and said: “We took Belal’s food and we hid it in the back f*****g corner so you would never be able to see it. Guys you just saw Belal’s meal here, so we’re gonna hide it from you so he can’t f*****g find it. Belal!! You’re food is not gonna be here when you come. Anybody gonna find that? Sorry, Belal, you’re a f* bum. That’s what happens to bums. He’s probably still there, haha, he ain’t smart enough to look around that fridge. Dumber than a box of rocks.”
While Colby had his fun with the prank, Muhammad was asked how he felt about the attempt pulled by Covington where ‘Bully B’ unleashed on Colby in his answer and even took a shot on Kamaru Usman for trying to remain relevant. He said: “He hid my food at… I’m not even in Vegas. This is that’s how much of a moron he is. I don’t know what he’s doing. Uh, these guys are like YouTubers now, Kamaru’s a podcaster. Colby’s a YouTuber. Uh they need to do a podcast together. The The Biggest Losers.”

Belal Muhammad vs Colby Covington : Once a rivalry, now lies below the dust
For as long as Kamaru Usman was the champion, or for as long as Tyron Woodley was the champion, Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington’s name was on everyone’s mouth as the biggest threat to their throne. So much so, that the community at times even claimed these were avoiding a bout against him. Imagine establishing that aura within a huge fanbase. While that was not an easy task, he had come out on top against the likes of Rafael Dos Anjos, Demian Maia and Robbie Lawler. He also became the interim welterweight champion in his victory over ‘RDA’.
What’s your perspective on:
Is Colby Covington's prank on Belal Muhammad a harmless joke or crossing the line?

Now however, the tides have turned. Just a year older than Belal Muhammad, aged 37, Colby Covington, has not been able to keep up with times, falling victim to the ever rising competition of the UFC. While a loss against Usman or Leon Edwards is still understandable, his loss against Joaquin Buckley came as the final nail in the coffin as he was finished via doctor’s stoppage in the third round of their fight, with eighteen seconds to go. After this loss, fans can barely see Covington compete and give a challenge to any of the welterweights in the Top 10 rankings.

On the other hand, Belal Muhammad, just one year younger than Covington and aged 36, is in the prime form of his life. He chose to capitalize on his massive experience and sharpened his already perfected fighting style with more transitions and striking to become the reigning welterweight champion of the UFC. With his first defense set for UFC 315, he is going in as the favorite to win the fight. He has also become a bigger draw for the UFC than #9th ranked Covington. Muhammad also dominated Edwards, who Covington could not beat. So where does this leave Covington who is already on 2 wins, and 4 losses in last six fights?
If not all, one thing is certain for Covington, if he wants to come back, he needs to take the sport seriously. His inactivity in the sport has become the major reason behind his losses, as his competitors train everyday, improve everyday, Covington’s massive delays in fights just keep him out of the race every time. Muhammad too was in a similar situation, but his consistency inside the Octagon made everyone ‘Remember The Name. Is there enough grit and passion left inside Covington to make a comeback? Or is he done for good whereas his rival ‘Bully B’ keeps on shining? What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
