The UFC Featherweight division houses some of the most charged-up and aggressive fighters in the promotion. Callouts and social media tussles are extremely common. One such fighter, who never shied away from a challenge, is Bryce Mitchell. The 28-year-old young blood has been called out by another fighter in his division and he responded in style.

The UFC is not just about showing in-ring dominance. Being popular in the sport requires charisma and the brains to answer a call out in a way that is entertaining for the fans as well. That is what separates a good fighter from a legendary UFC star. However, not all of them are up to the challenge.

Movsar Evloev cannot wait to get his hands on Bryce Mitchell. He called out Mitchell and to his surprise, Mitchell responded and in his own style. In a video that was recently uploaded on Twitter, by MMAMania, Mitchell accepted Evloev’s challenge to fight him, seemingly, while fishing.

Hey Movsar, I hear you’re still wanting to fight me. That’s good cause I’m looking for somebody to fight. How about August 5th at Nashville? Till then, I got bigger fish to fry than you, buddy!” said Mitchell, looking confident and unfazed by Evloev’s challenge. The stunt worked beautifully as the fans are now hyped for a match between these two.

The fact that Mitchell announced a date and a location without any hesitation only goes to prove that the fighter is up to the challenge. Sources say that the two were slated to face each other twice, but owing to injuries, the fights fell through. Now, Movsar Evloev has decided to settle it once and for all, and from the looks of it, so has Bryce Mitchell.

Mitchell vs. Evloev: The fight that almost happened

There has been no confirmation regarding the fight from UFC president Dana White. Movsar Evloev is undefeated with an extremely impressive UFC record of 17-0-0. Bryce Mitchell, on the other hand, stands at 15-2-0 which is also quite impressive. The two were supposed to go at it last year, in November. However, Evloev was suffering from an injury and Mitchell was to fight Jonathan Pearce at UFC 288. However, an injury to Pearce set the stage for Mitchell vs. Evloev once again. However, Mitchell suffered a back injury during the fight week and the match was put off until later.
