Henry Cejudo feels Jorge Masvidal is a smart fighter

Following Jorge Masvidal’s loss to Colby Covington, ‘The Messenger’ expressed his interest in training ‘Gamebred‘. ‘Triple C’ admitted this in an interview with ‘The Schmo’ in which he proclaimed that his doors will always be open for the BMF.

He tweeted, I think I could help Jorge become a more technical fighter. He’s too smart. I’ve always had so much love for that dude. I’m bummed out that I haven’t been able to have that relationship with him. My door will always be open for @GamebredFighter.”

During the interview, Cejudo stated, “What I would do with gamebred is I would, I think you would want to make him more of a technical fighter…If I was to help him out, it’d be with his distance game…Never allow anybody to get into the uppercut or the hook range…different little tricks.

Given how Kamaru Usman has cleared out the welterweight division, Masvidal, post his loss against Covington, is left with minimal options for a catchy fight.

As Masvidal’s wrestling let him down against Covington, it would help him on a great front to hone his wrestling and BJJ skills. Henry Cejudo is an excellent mentor to impart that knowledge to him.

What’s next for Jorge Masvidal?

Things are very cloudy for Jorge Masvidal as well as Colby Covington post-UFC 272. Their grudge match, despite being entertaining, has left fans pondering as to what their next move might be.

UFC president Dana White stated he had no idea what was in store for either of the fighters next. This ambiguous state of things leaves Masvidal in the room for change like no other.

Given how tactical and intelligent of a fighter he is, Masvidal could use this period of uncertainty to his advantage. He could hone his wrestling skills and overall physical attributes as a fighter and could possibly be on a title shot path if he performs incredibly well in his next few fights.

Do you think the BMF will accept Henry Cejudo’s offer?
