MMA face-offs can be a heated affair. Two fighters get into each other’s faces days before their fight. It can be hard to keep fighters in check and away from each other. Having trained for it, and most fighters choosing to engage in trash talk, mostly there is animosity behind them and can come out.

One Russian MMA promotion recently found that out. Two fighters during a press conference shook and traded a few words. All looked good before one fighter landed a huge left hook on the other one. It had the fighter stumbling and visibly out of sorts.

The security did intervene and stopped them from turning into an all-out brawl. However, the damage was done by then.

A fan even trolled the fighter for apparently checking his b***s after getting clocked with the sucker punch.

This is not the first time such a thing has happened. During one press conference, two fighters literally started a brawl. One fighter, after getting hit with multiple strikes, landed a dropkick on the other guy after they were separated.

These brawls can be dangerous for the fighters and the promotion. They might get seriously injured and that might affect the card as well. Security needs to be tighter in such situations, just like the UFC has done over the years.
