⁩The UFC has changed the way the world looks at mixed martial arts. Before the UFC came to life, there wasn’t any big stage for MMA, like there was for other sports. The excitement, grit, and entertainment we get to witness today are all thanks to how the board and Dana White fought for the sport. However, there is one man who the UFC would be incomplete without, and that is the legendary announcer, Bruce Buffer.

Buffer has been around ever since the early days of the promotion and is undoubtedly one of the best ring announcers in the world. The first event where he announced in the octagon was all the way back in 1996. He announced the preliminary card at UFC 8. Bruce Buffer made the iconic “Buffer 180”, where he motions directly across the Octagon and spins 180 degrees before introducing the fighter in the corner.

Bruce Buffer is the one and only man who can add so much excitement to the fight. Not only does Buffer hype up the fans at the venue, but he also hypes up the fighters before they battle it off in the octagon. There is no doubt that fans like to hear Buffer say the words, “and still…” over any other announcer.

Last weekend marked the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s 198th Fight Night. The main card was headlined by the female bantamweight contenders, Miesha Tate and Ketlen Vieira. Another entertaining fight on the main card was Sean Brady vs. UFC veteran, Michael Chiesa. The fighters put on a very entertaining show for the audience.

Before the fight took place, the welterweight fighter, Michael Chiesa, had an electric moment with the legendary announcer Bruce Buffer. The two had a stare-off while Buffer announced Chiesa at the UFC Apex arena in Las Vegas. Following the conclusion of the fight night, Bruce Buffer took to Twitter to express his feelings about announcing the event.
