Joe Rogan is one of the most noted faces in the entire UFC. The 55-year-old also hosts his own podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, which has gone on to achieve the apex spot of Spotify’s ‘Top Podcasts List‘. In a 2018 episode of the ‘JRE’, Rogan went on to describe his trouble with squirrels. He stated how his wife didn’t refrain from even the harshest step and wanted to kill all of them.

The former Fear Factor host also stated that he really liked squirrels and found them “cute”. But one habit of these cute little beings would cause his wife to potentially kill them.

Joe Rogan stated that stealing would get the squirrels killed

Rogan described how he had “got a squirrel problem”. But things were pretty much the opposite for his wife. The JRE host stated, “My wife wants to kill the fu**ing squirrels”, whereas he himself thought that, “they’re cute, little fellas”.

But Rogan went through an instant change of tone as he stated, “But they steal all the food, they’re fat fu**ing squirrels”. Rogan maintains his own farm of fowl, but the squirrels had become a headache for him. He narrated how the squirrels kept figuring out a way to get into the chicken coop and get all the chicken food.

The former martial artist went on to killer mode, stating, “But, now I might have to put them to death coz I found out they’ve been stealing eggs.” He further mentioned that those little squirrels had figured out how they can get eggs. He described an incident stating, “And so a squirrel was trying to roll an egg out of the chicken coop through the hole that he came in”.

Rogan also joined his wife regarding squirrels

Pulling up a video of squirrels stealing eggs, Rogan quoted, “There little fu**er look at it. It’s got an egg. I had no idea that the squirrels did this”. He was also shocked that he had to find this from incidents in his own yard.

He cursed the squirrels, stating, “These little fu**faces, they’re egg stealers, bro. How do they know? How do they know? They’re so cute. They fucking know how to get eggs.” One could witness many shades of Rogan within a pretty short span. He further stated, “the chickens don’t know what to do”.

Rogan finally joined his wife’s team of ‘kill squirrels’ as he stated, “I think I’ll have to run a fucking arrow through a few of them.” But, from the compassionate part of his heart, he still stated, “I don’t want to kill the squirrels. See, I don’t want them eating my eggs but I also don’t want to kill them”.

It was quite a tricky situation for Rogan at that point of time in 2018. How do you think he overcame this situation? What would have you done if you were in his place?

My interest in combat sports began watching scripted pro wrestling shows. It was my father who directed me towards combat sports and it wasn’t until the late 2010s that I discovered the world of MMA and the UFC. Like many of you, I too, tuned in for the infamous Nurmagomedov vs. McGregor bout live on October 6, 2018. Being an ardent fan of the UFC (and Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier), I was always looking to have conversations about the same with others. But to my disappointment, I hardly found any followers of the sports to interact with. So I took it upon myself to do my part in popularizing the thrill and the agony behind the purest form of unarmed combat. At EssentiallySports, I try to bring the readers closer to the athletes and focus my coverage on exploring the human side of these martial artists. I’m a musician during my time free from reporting MMA. I operate as the lead vocalist of a rock band that aims to make their mark among the audiences with their original alternative-hard rock songs.
