Former UFC fighter Nate Diaz has been at the center of all news lately. The Stockton native attended Misfits Boxing 6 event at XULA Convocation Center in New Orleans on Friday. Diaz was there to support his friend Chris Avila, who was fighting against famous internet personality Paul Bamba.
However, things took an unexpected turn when a fight between Nate Diaz and influencer Chase DeMoor broke out. DeMoor was sitting just behind Diaz and had earlier fought at the same event. The security managed to break the two parties apart inside the venue, but the brawl restarted outside the arena.

Nate Diaz: Official statement by his representative
The famous Logan Paul look-alike, Rodney Peterson was also present on the scene. He allegedly was part of Chase DeMoor’s entourage. A Twitter video shows Diaz choking Peterson out on the street. The reason for the altercation between Peterson and Diaz is unknown at the moment.

Shortly after the news of Diaz’s arrest warrant became public, fans got a response from the UFC star’s side. His representative, Zach Rosenfield, shared Nate Diaz’s stance.

According to the statement, Diaz knows about the arrest warrant, and his attorney is in talks with NOPD at the moment. Also, the statement calls Rodney Peterson a trained fighter. It’s important to note that Peterson practices jiu-jitsu at 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu in Omaha and holds a blue belt in BJJ.

It states that it was Peterson who “aggressively pursued” Diaz and the Stockton Slugger only acted “entirely in self-defense”. Fans are eager to know what happens in the next chapter of this controversy.
Did Peterson instigate Diaz?
As per MMA Fighting’s Damon Martin, it was Peterson who confronted Diaz outside the XULA Convocation Center in New Orleans, moments before he was his altercation. This incident has caused a major stir in the MMA and boxing world. Many fighting analysts and fans are expressing their opinions about this controversy.
From what I've been told, Petersen was apparently part of the group with reality star Chase DeMoor, who previously got into it with Diaz and was also involved in the melee outside the bar. Videos showed him confronting Diaz before he was choked out.
