Nate Diaz, the welterweight contender, took a jibe at the former UFC title challenger Colby Covington after his fight talks with Khamzat Chimaev and Dustin Poirier failed.

The fan-favorite Nate Diaz is surely one of the biggest draws of UFC. Hence, they have been reserving him for a big match-up since it might be his last in the UFC. However, the wait has frustrated the Stockton Slugger.
And the 37-year-old has been calling out the UFC on social media platforms for the same. He even took a dig at other fighters from the roster and called them out. Now, the number one welterweight contender Colby Covington is on Diaz’s radar.

Recently Stockton’s second child posted an Instagram story taking shots at Covington. He reposted an edited poster of Covington’s fight with a kid. “Good luck to my boy @gucci_pp kicka** G.” Diaz wrote in the caption.

Diaz hasn’t re-signed with the promotion and has one last fight left on his contract. However, there has been a long delay in his next fight. Although many names, including Dustin Poirier and Khamzat Chimaev, have come up for his fight, none of them came to fruition.
The 37-year-old made his UFC return in 2021. He fought the British fighter Leon Edwards at UFC 263 in June 2021. However, Diaz lost the bout and has been inactive since then.
Nate Diaz gets a response from Khamzat Chimaev
During one of his Twitter rants, Nate Diaz called out the welterweight star Khamzat Chimaev. Interestingly, the Russian-born fighter had a befitting reply to the Stockton slugger.

Diaz who is awaiting his last UFC fight wrote, “I been tryin to fight for a year and months I also tried to fight kamzat for the last month and a half but he was hurt, had visa issues, overweight and now his b****a** is off getting married instead of fighting wtf ? I’m tryin to get a fight wit a real fighter asap/July LFG.”

While responding to Diaz’s message, Chimaev took a jibe at him and wrote, “You are funny, are you high? It seems like you been smoking.”

‘The Lone Wolf’ is currently one of the best in the UFC. He is undefeated and stands number three in the welterweight division. And after his recent win, Chimaev is looking for a title fight or a top contender next. Hence, it is unlikely that Diaz and Chimaev will fight.
