Nate Diaz Gets Called Out for Really Good UFC Matchup

Usually, call-outs in the UFC are very discourteous. However, the Stockton native Nate Diaz received a rather humble call-out from a UFC fighter. The name in question also called Diaz a legend and would love to fight him any day.
Nate Diaz is one of the most prominent names in the MMA community. Over the years, he has entertained combat fans with his stunning performances inside the octagon. His fights have always garnered a lot of attention and attracted hefty PPV buys. Given his stardom, many fighters desire to fight the fan-favorite in order to gain the same attention from the fighting community.

One of them is the UFC welterweight fighter, Vicente Luque. The Brazilian has repeatedly expressed his interest in fighting the UFC star. He believes a fight with Diaz will greatly improve his legacy.

While talking to MMA Fighting, ‘The Silent Assassin’ stated he wants to prove his style against the Stockton slugger. He said, “He’s a great fighter. He’s a legend. Having that on my resume, that’s huge for me. The other thing is he has that status. He is the gangster. He goes in there and he fights and he goes forward and always he will fight till the last second with all the heart he has.”
Luque continued, “And I want to go and step in there with a guy like that and show that I can do that and maybe I can do that even better than he does. I think it’s about my legacy, about showing what my style is against a tough guy like Nate. Against a guy that has already proved to everyone that he’s one of the toughest in the sport. That’s what this fight is for me.”
Will the Nate Diaz take the fight?
Nate Diaz has an impressive professional fighting resume of 21-13. After a two year hiatus, he returned to the octagon in 2019 with a stunning win over Anthony Pettis.
Subsequently, he suffered defeats against Jorge Masvidal and Leon Edwards. Despite the losses, he is still willing to continue fighting and is waiting for his next viable opponent. In Luque, Diaz has a very interesting fight on the table. The former BMF title challenger responded to Luque’s call out.

Considering the tweet, it seems like Diaz is interested in fighting the current #4 in the welterweight roster. A win over Luque will surely cement Diaz’s position in the rankings. Meanwhile, if ‘The Silent Assassin’ secures a win against the fan-favorite, it will fast-track his journey to the UFC welterweight gold.
