Despite not fighting Tom Aspinall, undisputed heavyweight champion Jon Jones claims he’s living the good life as fans can’t stop calling him out for the anticipated title unification match. He’s been seen enjoying his time in Thailand recently, ahead of the filming of the second season of the Russian version of TUF, ‘ALF Global Reality’, opposite UFC icon Nate Diaz. However, it seems like Jones’s plans to appear on the reality show may not see the light of day as the Stockton native is reportedly out of the show.

The first season of the ‘ALF Global Reality’ was quite interesting to watch as Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling, as coaches/captains of their respective teams. This season, the makers of the show had real legends at their disposal for the show in Jon Jones and Nate Diaz, but they may have to recast one of the coaches because Diaz apparently got into a scuffle with one of ‘Bones’s Russian friends.

There have been several social media posts circulating online of Jon Jones enjoying riding a motorcycle on the streets of Thailand with one of his friends, with whom he re-united in the South East Asian nation. The person in question is a Russian MMA fighter by the name of Zalimkhan Yusupov, who’s a member of the cast for the show, as he allegedly tried to choke Nate Diaz unconscious in Thailand.

As we all know, Nate Diaz is not to stand down and do nothing when provoked, and as such, the Stockton native has been claimed to have slapped Jon Jones’ friend. Reports also claim that he has returned to the United States, and his recent social media posts substantiated those claims, but in the meantime, Zalimkhan Yusupov is still on the hunt for Diaz to give him a receipt.

Furthermore, the former UFC star’s BJJ coach sent a message to Jon Jones’ friend after landing in the United States and took shots at the Russian fighter for getting the better of him. “[Zalimkhan Yusupov] hey coward Russian. You there you see this. For a week you didn’t come we were outside. We own Phuket. It’s ours coward. Do you see any fear from us. I will always have your manhood forever you can do nothing about it Russian. You know what it is. REAL GANGSTER COME FROM NORTHERN CALIFORNIA,” Nate Diaz’s coach wrote on social media.

Well, Zalimkhan Yusupov appears to be quite the menace since Nate Diaz isn’t the only notable UFC star that he’s had altercations with. Jon Jones’s friend has a history of getting heated, as the same thing happened during the first season of the show with Aljamain Sterling. Here’s what happened.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Nate Diaz right to stand his ground, or is he just stirring up unnecessary drama?

Have an interesting take?

Jon Jones’s Russian friend once choked out Aljamain Sterling

It was just at the beginning of this year when the first of the Russian TUF clones got aired, and it gave viewers some really talked-about moments, which perhaps paved the way for a second one. Zalimkhan Yusupov was one of the fighters on Aljamain Sterling’s team, and, surprisingly, he got into a heated confrontation with the former UFC bantamweight champion during one of the episodes, as no one predicted what was to come later.

Jon Jones’s Russian friend appeared to get hold of Aljamain Sterling’s neck from behind and choke him unconscious as ‘Funk Master’ appeared to be convulsing for a while. When others learned about what was happening, they came running to Sterling’s aid as Zalimkhan Yusupov decided to run away from the scene of the crime. It really put the former bantamweight champion in a bad spot from the point of view of the UFC fans.

When it comes to Nate Diaz, we don’t really know what really went down, as the Russian fighter hasn’t indicated anything about such an incident on social media. But where does this leave Jon Jones? Will the show commence with a replacement coach? That remains to be seen. In the meantime, let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
