UFC President Dana White hinted at the much-anticipated trilogy bout between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz. White’s statement that he would be shocked if these two never fight each other again, saw the Stockton native react to the same.

Dana White, in an interview with TMZ Sports, mentioned that alongside a Nate Diaz vs Dustin Poirier bout, UFC also has the Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz trilogy bout in mind.

Nate Diaz, who is on the last fight of his current UFC contract, reacted to Dana White‘s comments. The Stockton native shared his thoughts about the trilogy bout with ‘The Notorious‘ on his Twitter.

“Conor’s gonna have to get him some wins and prove he’s not so fragile first ..”

With their first two bouts (at UFC 196 and UFC 202) being blockbusters on the box office, this bout is a dream fight for the fight fans and the UFC.

Conor McGregor has frequently suggested that his trilogy bout with Nate Diaz is inevitable.

However, after UFC 205, McGregor went the boxing route and the biggest fight in the UFC got delayed. Later, when ‘The Notorious’ returned, he didn’t have the same success inside the octagon. Thus, Nate Diaz has shown reluctance to take the trilogy bout.

It was interesting that Nate Diaz pointed out the Irishman’s losing record, as he, himself, has not had a great couple of years. Apart from his win over Anthony Pettis, Diaz has a tough time getting his hand raised. Though Diaz had a good last-minute against Leon Edwards, he still lost on the judges’ scorecard.

‘The Notorious’ is currently looking at a July return after having a rough 2021 and Diaz has only one fight left on his contract. Thus, it would be fascinating to see what the UFC does with Diaz’s last fight.
