Nate Diaz is back in the news—but it isn’t about his upcoming fight this time. During a recent interview on This Past Weekend with Theo Von, the Stockton native unleashed a fiery rant aimed at Daniel Cormier.

Diaz’s reaction came in response to Cormier’s previous statements, which questioned his abilities and status as a top-level fighter when reports came of Nate Diaz returning to the UFC at the Sphere back in 2024. And while ‘DC’ later clarified that he has no issues with ‘The Stockton Slugger’ after he called him a ‘B—-,’ it seems like the 40-year-old hasn’t let things go, and this time, he didn’t hold back.
He not just insulted Daniel Cormier’s analyst role, he also questioned his professional choices, and even criticized his fighting technique.
“If that’s what you do, you’re a b—-,” he said. “Well, what the f— happened in your career then? Why are you an analyst now, Mr. Know-it-all?
Nate Diaz just COOKED Daniel Cormier 😳
“Are you mad because you were the champion and I got paid way more money than you? That’s a f*cking bitter little bitch.

According to Nate Diaz, the criticism stems from jealousy, as he claims to have made more money in fights despite never holding a UFC title.
“Talking about negative about what I should do when I made more money than you ever made in your whole career at any fight, Mr. Champion?
The former UFC star also claimed that he had barely watched Daniel Cormier fight, recalling only one instance in which the Olympian was knocked out by Stipe Miocic at UFC 241.
“This dude’s boring as s—,” he added. “I’ve never seen a single Daniel Cormier fight in my career, except for when I was on the same card as him one time. Picking up the dude, walking around like he owned him.
“And then I look back at the screen, and he just knocked out on his a–. That’s the only DC fight I ever saw.”
Nate Diaz dismissed ‘DC’ as a brilliant wrestler but stayed firm that he wasn’t a top fighter overall, turning the exchange into one of the more personal callouts in recent MMA memory.
This is not the first time the two have exchanged shots. Their feud stretches back to 2024, when Daniel Cormier publicly questioned Diaz’s ability to headline a significant UFC event. Since then, the back-and-forth has simmered, with Diaz pushing it to a new level.
“And he wants to talk about what I should do and how I’m not a good fighter,” he added. “And I said, I’m like, ‘Are you mad because you were the champion and when I was nowhere near champion, I got paid way more money than you?’
“That’s a f—— bitter little b—-. He’s analyzing fights. You’re a great wrestler, DC. You can’t fight for s—.”
The timing is interesting. ‘The Stockton Slugger’ is currently prepping for his return to MMA against Mike Perry on a crossover card promoted by Most Valuable Promotions. With talk of a possible UFC return floating around, recent comments—especially aimed at one of the promotion’s top analysts—could complicate that path.
Still, if there’s one thing Diaz has always been consistent with, it’s speaking his mind—no matter the consequences. In fact, Cormier wasn’t the only target of Diaz’s fiery rant, as the 40-year-old then turned his attention to the new BMF champion, Charles Oliveira.
Nate Diaz continues taking aim at Charles Oliveira
While Nate Diaz was already making headlines for his rant aimed at Daniel Cormier, he didn’t stop there. ‘The Stockton Slugger’ then turned his attention to Charles Oliveira, questioning both his status and his hold on the BMF title.
“BMF belt, f—– b—- a— Oliveira, who I believe I’d beat the f—– s— out of,” he said. “People I’ve beaten have beaten him….he’s walking around with my belt!”
From his perspective, the current champion is carrying something he does not own. The frustration seemed to stem not just from rankings or titles but from a missed opportunity that Diaz believes should have happened already.

Diaz stated that he pressed for a bout against Oliveira during negotiations with the UFC, but the organization had other plans. Instead of pitting him with ‘Do Bronx,’ the focus was reportedly on a trilogy fight against Conor McGregor.
“I go back to talk to them about it, and they’re all ready for me to come back and fight Conor,” he continued. “I’m like, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa. Listen to what I’m talking about. I want to fight the best of the best when they’re the best of the best.
“Conor is great, but I’m not trying to go kill off Conor when he’s on his last dying f—– leg, literally. That’s f—– up. But I’m not trying to be the ending to some f—– story like that. At the same time, I ain’t trying to get f—– up but by nobody who just got knocked out on his a–.”
That choice finally led him to take the Mike Perry bout outside of the UFC. Despite the fact that the fight is on the horizon, Nate Diaz has not given up on Charles Oliveira or the promotion. If anything, his recent words indicate that unfinished business is still very much on his mind.
