The last time Nate Diaz stepped inside the boxing arena, he showcased a tremendous boxing intent but was ultimately defeated by Jake Paul by way of a unanimous decision. Jake Paul promised that he would face Diaz in an MMA match, but seems like the Stockton native has some other plans before facing Paul. Diaz has a clash planned for the first week of June and that too against his old rival.

Ahead of their clash, Diaz made sure that he would throw his hands against anyone for money. “I had five fights in the UFC after the Ultimate Fighter that were against top 10 ranked opponents. Then I demanded the top 10 guys, and I’ve been fighting them for 25-30 fights in the UFC. Now, whatever I’m doing, I’m finding the best fighter I can fight. I’m not going to play-fight. I can fight anybody for $10 million, and probably get $10 million” said Nate Diaz in an interview with MMAFightingWithSBN.

He further added, “I want to fight the best of the best or the biggest. Everyone thinks Jake Paul’s yes, so why am I going to not fight him? You know what I’m saying. So, I’ll take the best in the room.” Nate Diaz left the UFC back when he was deciding to fight Jake Paul and since then he has been a free agent.

The fighter was looking to make a comeback at the UFC during the Noche event but seems like Dana White had some other plans for him. There were rumors of their clash, but it was finally confirmed in March and, according to Masvidal, the delay was because of Diaz’s being a princess.

Jorge Masvidal gives the real reason behind the delay of their clash

Jorge Masivdal has been away from the Octagon and the fighting world for quite some time now and he has been craving some action for quite some time. His fight with Nate Diaz was rumored but there was a delay in the official confirmation. Masivdal stated that it was because of the difficulty in negotiations with Diaz.

“At one point, because Vegas was booked out, a lot of places were booked out, New York was a strong possibility and he was like, ‘I won’t fight if it’s in New York. I won’t fight.’ I was like, what the f***?”. What’s the beef? This is boxing. That was in MMA [where] you got your a** whooped. But I get it. Alright. Then another diva moment, he said he also wouldn’t fight if the fight’s in Miami. ‘I’m not fighting if it’s in Miami.’ OK, cool. ‘Well, last time I had a bad experience with my boxing match in Texas, so I’m not fighting in Texas.’ What the f***?! To book a venue of that magnitude, it’s not like it can happen in a week or a weekend.” said Masvidal in a conversation with MMAFightingWithSBN

The last bout between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz ended in a doctor stoppage. They have some unfinished business with each other and seems like this would be their place for redemption. What is your take on their clash? State your thoughts in the comments below.
