Diaz appeared on “The MMA Hour” alongside host Ariel Helwani, in which the two discussed various topics. In one segment, Helwani asked Diaz if the offers that he was receiving at the moment accounted for the most money that they had offered him in his career.
Diaz replied, “Money that they’re offering me right now, that they’ve been offering. They offered me five offers ago, like more money than any fighter in the UFC ever. And it’s more, it has been, and before the offer, I was getting paid more than any of the title holders. Anybody, anyone.” This includes Ronda Rousey‘s $3 million payout against Amanda Nunes, as reported by “sportco.”

Diaz also mentioned an exception to this statement. He said, “Maybe not Conor, but that’s a different story. You know what I’m saying? They gave all that to him. That’s different. Printing together and all that.” Unsurprisingly, the Irishman is at the top of UFC’s highest-paid fighters list.
Diaz also explained how he wasn’t interested in the money but rather wanted to try different things if he was to be released by the UFC. He said, “I don’t want no more money. I want, I want to go do different stuff.”
The Beef Between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor

In the first bout, Diaz took the fight on 11 days’ notice and was the clear underdog going into it. Despite this, he managed to shock the world after submitting McGregor via a rear-naked choke in round 2. The two would fight again, with McGregor securing the victory by majority decision after a back and forth which lasted five rounds.
