Nate Diaz Shuns Rivalry With Conor McGregor in Unexpected Disclosure Before Irishman’s Michael Chandler Fight at UFC 303

UFC 303 might be a ways off, but it’s already the talk of the town, with the fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler being the main reason. After all procrastination and lateness, UFC CEO Dana White‘s announcement thrilled fans.

Meanwhile, this news has also caught the attention of many MMA fraternities including his frenemy, Nate Diaz. In a recent interview, Diaz shared his hilarious verdict on McGregor vs Chandler. He also revealed his preference for where he’d like to fight McGregor; in the ring or the cage.

Nate Diaz Shares His Verdict on Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler

Longtime rivals in the UFC cage, Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor have also shown each other respect on occasion. In light of that, Nate recently offered his verdict on McGregor’s upcoming fight with Michael Chandler in an interview with ESNEWS.
When a journalist asked Nate, “Do you think Conor can beat Chandler? Nate Diaz politely replied to him, “I think Conor is better than Chandler.” Without wasting time journalist asked him, “Would you like to do boxing or do you prefer the cage? Diaz said, “I would like to fight Conor in a cage.” Again the same journalist asked him, “You have faced him three times; do you see anything in his eyes?
Nate Diaz did not answer this question, slowly he moved to another journalist, leaving this question behind with many possibilities regarding his possible fight with Conor. As we know, Conor still has two fights left with him—one is already happening in UFC 303, and the other may be the target of Diaz. Meanwhile, his tweet from a few months back, asking UFC to release Conor McGregor, remains relevant.

Nate Diaz shows support for Conor McGregor

In March, Nate Diaz took to Twitter to express his support for Conor McGregor. Diaz highlighted his frustrations with being unable to return to the Octagon because of UFC. He acknowledged McGregor’s attempts to secure a fight but pointed out that these fights never materialized, leading to a loss of interest. This situation resonated with Diaz as he’s also faced similar struggles with the UFC regarding his return.

Nate Diaz and Conor Mcgregor are widely considered one of the greatest rivalries in UFC history. However, this intense competition hasn’t stopped them from acknowledging each other when it’s necessary. Their also two fights are among the highest-grossing in UFC history, a testament to the excitement they generate. Since their last encounter, their rivalry has evolved into a frenemy dynamic, where they occasionally take playful jabs at one another.

In the meantime, McGregor vs Chandler is coming closer, and many fighters after that are eyeing the spot to fight  Conor. This is a long list, including Charles Oliveira. It looks like Nate has to be in line to fight Conor. Who do you want to see fight Conor next?
