Dustin Poirier and Nate Diaz have been trading jabs on Twitter. The pair were set to clash at UFC 230. Unfortunately, that fight fell apart, and now, Diaz has pointed out that ‘The Diamond’ was the one to back out from the contest.

The rivalry re-ignited after Poirier’s recent win over Conor McGregor. Diaz, a former foe of the Irishman, promptly pointed out that he would show McGregor how to beat Poirier, calling his shot against the Louisiana native in the process. As more often than not, Diaz gets what he wants from the UFC, fans hypothesized an Octagon meeting between the duo.

Recently, Poirier appeared at the MMA Hour and addressed claims about supposedly being afraid of fighting Diaz. ‘The Diamond’ also threw some light on his social media back and forth with the Stockton native.

As Diaz and Poirier are two of the biggest fan favorites in the entire roster, ardent MMA followers want to see the two brawlers go at it. Poirier himself assured fans that they will indeed fight.
