Nate Diaz doesn’t just fight–he blazes his own trail. From lighting up buds in the midst of his interview session to building up his cannabis empire, the Stockton native is unapologetically clear about his w**d consumption. However, have you ever wondered, how much w**d the fighter consumes in a week? Well, Demetrious Johnson was quite intrigued about it and he posed the question directly to the fighter.

While conversing on his podcast, Demetrious Johnson asked Nate Diaz about his consumption habits. Sarcastically, he even remarked that he could light a joint if he wanted to right then and there. DJ said, ” I always wanted to know this—how much w**d do you smoke in a week? Like, you’re training, you’re doing your triathlons, you come on the show, you got your bud. How much w**d do you smoke in a week, and does it affect your cardio, your lungs?” asked Johnson.

Responding to Johnson’s question, Diaz emphasized that he smokes w**d as it’s his lifestyle. The Stockton native revealed, “It doesn’t affect me at all. I think I need some w**d—help me, I need some w**d—’cause I like to get high.”  Well, he never explicitly stated how many times he smokes in a week, but it’s safe to assume the number is quite high. Interestingly, the fighter once even claimed that w**d is beneficial for fighters.

“For one, it helps your lungs because they got to be in shape to be smoking weed all day. For two, I think it keeps me aware and conscious of, like, let’s say I’m out of shape, right? And then I go and do five, five-minute rounds of grappling with you. If I go in there and go hard [as if] I’m in shape, and I’m not in shape, I think I’m going to be — if I’m smoking w**d especially — I’m going to be conscious of how hard I should be going,” said Diaz.

Nate Diaz spikes up laughter among fans through confession

Nate Diaz has a very distinctive way of speaking, which is often described as slow and faded. At times, it even seems like he is always high. Commenting on this, a fan remarked, “It doesn’t affect me” Nate u can barely talk brother.” Furthermore, another social media user used sarcasm, “W**d needs him more he needs weed.”

Well, he certainly did not answer the question but it must be noted that the fighter owns a CBD company that deals in superfoods, functional mushrooms, and other things and Diaz might be taking a whiff of the joint multiple times a week, “So did he answer how much he smokes in a week?”

Moreover, another fan had a rather weird question, “Does he talk about quantum physics in this interview?” Was it an unnecessary question by Demetrious Johnson? Well, a fan believes it is a “Dumb question.” Last but not least, a fan highlighted that the continued consumption of cannabis might have halted the progression of both the Diaz brothers in becoming UFC champions, “Huge huge Diaz fan. Idc what anyone says, the w**d played a role in them not turning the corner to be UFC champions.”

What are your thoughts on Nate Diaz’s confession about cannabis? Do you think his continued consumption is the reason why the fighter never became a champion? State your thoughts in the comments below.
